And Reagan told us we didn't have to conserve, scapegoated the poor for our bad economy, slashed domentic budgets and poured money into military spending, including granting arms to mid east country's. History give us another example of this- Germany, and Rome are the first two to come to mind.

With news like this, I fear talks of the "American threat" have become a reality.

Thus another reason for other countries to arm themselves. If the US starts an arm race, we must keep up.
