This isn't recent news, apparently, but I just found it. I think it's a pretty clear indication that the party of morality is also the party of greed. Yes, greed. Not personal responsibility or an "ownership society" or whatever. Greed.

It's just an aside in the article, but feel free to read if you want to find out how the members of the Texas legislature screw their constituents over more and more with each session (which is every two years if you're unfamiliar with the idiocies that Texas gets away with).
