"If we want to have a Bush dynasty, let's get Laura Bush," Lynne Cheney was quoted as saying on CNN's "Larry King Live." Vice President Dick Cheney called it a "great idea" and said "I think I know who would win, too." Mr. Cheney has denied speculations and recent reports that he himself was considering a shot at his boss's job despite having said publicly that it was not a position he would be interested in. Senator Clinton has emerged as a potential candidate in the 2008 presidential election amid suggestions that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would also make an ideal minority candidate. Unlike in many other countries, the United States has yet to elect a woman as president or vice president. Would you vote for a woman president? If so, for whom? |

I would elect a Catholic black woman before a protestant white man. Or a Jew. Or a pagan. I think that it's important for a country which has stressed equality so much to deliver more. I want to improve our image is what it comes down to. If only I could saith, so should I. |
