That IS thier stated goal. They have made it clear, they won't stop till everyone is a good faithful muslim. They want us out of the Middle East so they can build a power base to spread from. And thankfully, we put a big stop on that.

Who knows how many there are... more importantly how is nuking Mecca going to stop this? What is even going to do... what would be the goal? What would stop them from doing something worse... what would we even do? If they atack with more nukes and kill 200 million people what would we atack?

If we destroy mecca we loose any support that we would have gotton otherwise... and in a time of crisies we need all the support we can get. I mean the last thing we would need is the EU being like well fuckoff we are not talking to you... and china and japan saying haha no more exporting to you. Get real will you?

You believe that it would create more terrorists. I believe it would make the people rise up in defense of Mecca and crush the few putting it at risk. We wouldn't just out of the blue tell them, "Hey, we're going to blow up Mecca"....we state our reasons and explain exactly what lead up to this decision to do this. OBL and al-qeada and other muslim extremists are a problem for freedom around the world - you take care of the problem or we will.

I feel that our response would depend entirely on the size of the detonated device, and if the terrorists had more in place, and the nature of thier demands.

A truly chilling scenario would be if they said ...." we the pin head terriorests have 100 (or 1000) more devices in the multi megaton yield range imbedded in many cities and infrastructures, we demand total surrender of the workd /USA, or we will detonate one per hour, until demands are met.Then what would or could we do?
