How the hell should I know? If you're screwed if you do and screwed if you don't, that simply means you're screwed. I don't think we should pull out now. Wait till there's something resembling a legitimate government, declare victory, tell the Iraqis they're welcome and get the hell out. If Iraq collapses into chaos immediately after, then it does, and America learns a valuable lesson.... again.

Nah, my advice would have been the same as General Anthony Zinni's, former commander in chief, U.S. Central Command, and Bush's former special envoy to the Middle East. Iraq... bad place... don't go there! Nothing's so bad about Saddam Hussein that we won't make much worse by invading.

My next bit of advice would have been to fire Donald Rumsfeld and impeach Dear Leader for gross criminal negligence, since they both managed screw the pooch at every step, from why we went to war in the first place to how we planned and conducted the occupation.

I'm thinking they probably won't take my advice.
