    Economic recovery

Just one solution for all these:

    How to reduce unemployment
    How to create jobs
    How to reduce government spending
How to increase tax revue without increasing taxes
    How to reduce homelessness
    How to improve the economy
How to lessen the congestion in the courts
    How to improve national security
    How to reduce drug trafficking
    How to reduce crime
    How to decrease prison populations
How to keep more American dollars in America
How to lessen the burden on our schools
How to lessen the burden on law enforcement
How to improve the availability of affordable housing
How to reduce the national debt/deficit spending
How to reduce the cost of fuel
    How to improve driver safety
How to reduce the cost of insurance
How to reduce hospital and healthcare costs
How to reduce the demand on the hospitals
    How to reduce violence
How to cut down on voter fraud
How to screw over the Democratic/Liberal party...

Kick out the 11 million illegal immigrants, with their children, relatives, and we keep the money, cars, houses, and crap...it was all obtained through illegal means and should not be rewarded.

I would imagine that there are many native americans who would not only agree but be prepared to add a few hundred million to the definition of illegal.

I am part Native American, and your racist BS is not welcome. Your profiling of Native Americans as anti-American is outright bigoted. Native Americans were not one or many nationalities, they were groups of people wandering over vast continents. In short, yours is an illogical and irrelevant comment.

I am part Native American and I find his comment right on point...

Of course, I am not so very much Native American (like a great great grandparent was, according to my mother, a full blooded Cherokee) to be able to speak for Native Americans in any way, shape or form. But I do know that, like every other sub-group of humans, Native American opinion is not monolithic in form. The more important point is that what you suggest is never going to happen. You may as well suggest we kick all the invasive species out of the Everglades. It is an equally practical suggestion. Even if the will were present (which it is not), the means to accomplish that goal are not and it's usefulness as a solution is pretty much non-existent.

My racist bullshit was nothing more than a parody of your own racist bullshit. Blaming immigrants illegal or otherwise is the usual crap one hears from those looking for an easy scapegoat.

What I wrote is no more illogical than what you wrote, the only problem is it points out the illogic of what you wrote.

Really, you don't have a clue what the problem is let alone give a credible solution.

So we should kick out 11 million hardworking poor people and take all of their stuff, and this is morally permissible because they valued escaping third world level poverty more than the law?

Well, would that even benefit us? We already subsidize agriculture heavily, if we did this it would get far more expensive meaning the government would either have to subsidize it with even more money or we would have to accept farmers losing their jobs, America losing its self-sufficiency visa-ve food, and the price of food rising. The same holds true for any other industry in which illegal immigrant labor is heavily represented. Prices would inflate, demand would plummet, and they would therefore contract.

On the otherhand, illegal immigrants recieve social services such as emergency room care, and very few actually work in health care, so it would make health care cheaper. And although many things would become more expensive, and because of this demand would shrink such that the number of jobs Americans get will be fewer than the ones the illegal immigrants lose, some Americans will get jobs they wouldn't otherwise get. The fact you'd be making things more expensive and forcing companies to higher more expensive, less knowledgaeble, and less capable workers of course would hurt the economy, so it is difficult to say whether what we gained would be greater or less than what we lost.

As per taking their stuff, well they don't have all that much, but it would be a short term boost. It probably wouldn't be enough to balance the budget for even one year, but it could reduce the deficit by a lot for a year.

Incidentally, I find it amusing that you seem damned certain this is only a moral dillema and that, by implication of your poll options, you forsee the main problem with your plan merely being one conscience.

I don't see being anti-illegal immigrant as being racist per say. Often, though not always, it has something to do with discrimination against foreign cultures, but that isn't racism.

    Callous? Yes. Racist? Not clearly.

Well, many on this site are not limited to being racists...they could be more accurately termed xenophobic nationalists. They think they aren't racists because they think to be defined as a racist, one must feel some sort of all consuming hatred for the "other". But, of course, for liberals, they waive that element of the definition and insert "belief that the racism of others can negatively effect outcomes" as defining racism. See, they do this big switch-a-roo, and say, "If you think someone is incapable of overcoming the negative power of racism, you must think the minority member is weak and therefore less than you, so you are the racist!" Instead of the asshole who thinks he has every right to keep an African-American out of his store being in the wrong, it becomes the wrong of the person who thinks the wrong is the wrong. It requires a level of mental gymnastics that beggars the imagination and I wouldn't believe it if I didn't personally know so many people, and encounter so many people, who actually manage to flip shit around in their heads like that.

I don't get why this poll is called "economic recovery" and then the poll options have to do with kicking out illegal immigrants. Shouldn't the topic title be "Should we kick out illegal immigrants?"

Obviously, I voted "other," even though the second poll option is not far from my mind.

But truth, Hajjaj was convinced, held many layers.

Because he's gullible enough to believe that illegal immigration is the root cause of all economic problems. Just another Fox News zombie.

Native Americans were not simply "groups of people wondering over vast continents". Native Americans were settled in America. The indigenous Americans settled on land that was not occupied. The Europeans who colonized America were illegal immigrants who stole land from the Indigenous Americans. Period.

Native Americans Oppose Arizona Anti-Immigrant Law:

"Instead, Native American groups are taking the high road and joining up with immigrant rights organizations to fight on the side of justice and a more welcoming America. Last month, First Nation, an indigenous group, joined up with immigrant rights forces to occupy an Arizona Border Patrol headquarters in protest of SB 1070 and human rights violations. Indigenous groups oppose harsh, "papers, please" laws because they are often used to harass tribal members, forcing them to jump through hoops to prove they are legally in the country."

You are using illegal immigration as a scapegoat to blame the current failures in the United States economy when in fact the core issues regarding the failure of the United States economy have very little to do with illegal immigration.
