Eh, kidding aside, get real. We all know "liberal" and "conservative" aren't synonyms for "smart" and "stupid". There are smart, respectable conservatives, just as there are complete fucking idiots that are liberal.
Yes, I know that. But it's very hard to argue that the vast majority of conservative talking points aren't mind-numbingly stupid.

But you sure do seem to be criticizing it a lot.
Hell yeah I’m criticizing it, while saying I don’t give a shit about Obamacare should only clarify it more for you. I basically was agreeing with your statement of:

I don't give a crap about "Obamacare". It's a win for liberals and insurance companies. It's a way for liberal assholes to spit in the face of America's working class by giving them the illusion that they're getting health care.
    See?

Oh but I do. I've talked with several reactionaries. They don't ever seem to mature, oddly enough. The 50 and 60 year old's are no different from the 17-25 year old's. There's just something about "conservatism" that makes it associated with adolescent individualism.
Ohh but you don’t. First I’m not a radical (as you seem to probably think of yourself), and the only “reactionary” in me is to take this idiotic Obamacare and throw it out the window and start over. Something the majority agree with me on. What do you agree on, Dan?

Second I haven’t reached your 50-60 year old magical number….(as if that means anything)…but I at least know a bad thing when I see it. So since you already agreed with me on Obamacare why should it matter to you how a person attacks the used toilet roll of a healthcare program?

Be it, “radical” or “reactionary”? You can pin a big badge on your chest of “who” or “what” you are….But I’ll leave myself open to the sides I choose. You never know Dan, we might agree on something else someday other than just Obamacare.

It doesn't matter if you've helped more people than me. I seek to destroy what causes the problems. Countering the problems head-on might make you feel all warm and fuzzy, but it's not going to fix anything in the long run.
Well I wish you luck in “destroying” Obamacare along with the housing problems affecting the poor in our country, feeding and drilling wells for good water to third world countries and such. If you have a way of destroying these things without first “countering the problem head-on” I’m all ears.

It seems you don't have an idea of what you are, or what you support, do you?

It depends. The fiscal responsibility shtick has merit, IF they applied it to their own damn actions. Usually the points they bring up are good points, it's just that their solutions are batshit insane.

    "Sir, I exist!"
    "However," replied the universe,
"The fact has not created in me
    A sense of obligation."

Okay, maybe "reactionary" was too harsh of a term, but you are generally on that side.

Second I haven’t reached your 50-60 year old magical number….(as if that means anything)…but I at least know a bad thing when I see it. So since you already agreed with me on Obamacare why should it matter to you how a person attacks the used toilet roll of a healthcare program?
Yes, but here's the problem: You offer no alternative solution to the health care crisis in America. You attack Obamacare because you don't want a change in privately distributed health care. If you wanted a nationalized system in place of it then my tone would be much different.

Be it, “radical” or “reactionary”? You can pin a big badge on your chest of “who” or “what” you are….But I’ll leave myself open to the sides I choose. You never know Dan, we might agree on something else someday other than just Obamacare.
We agree for totally different reasons.

Well I wish you luck in “destroying” Obamacare along with the housing problems affecting the poor in our country, feeding and drilling wells for good water to third world countries and such. If you have a way of destroying these things without first “countering the problem head-on” I’m all ears.
I didn't say I wanted to destroy Obamacare or other issues. I said I seek to destroy what causes things like lack of health care coverage, homelessness, unemployment, etc. Don't ask me how. I don't wish to start a 10 page off-topic argument that I've done before.

This is ridiculous. There are people out there in need of healthcare and cannot get it. That's a fact. They're not "bums and idiots". In most cases they're impoverished families or individuals trying to make a living. But you wouldn't know this, since all of your information comes from right-wing propaganda.
And personal experience...but that apparently doesn't count in your book. Can not get it? BS! Ok, one or two sickly people that will require constant medical attention just to stay alive...ok, sure, they "need" help. Almost everyone else can afford it, but choose to spend their money on more fun things, like movies, games, beer, drugs, parties, cool cars, phones, internet, vacations, weekend trips, perfume, fast food, fancy clothes/the latest fads, music, electronics, house/appartments that are too big for there wallet, ex...

    Cool story bro.

Really? You'd better get the hell out of the United States then. In this country we believe in shared sacrifice and the idea that we can come together to solve problems that we can't solve individually. I think you'd fit better in Somalia. No pesky taxes or government regulations there.

Really? Everyone who can't afford health insurance is a bum and an idiot? What the hell kind of fantasy world are you living in?

What a shitty excuse for a human being. Look, we live in a society, whether you like it or not. If you want to live in the kind of society that kills the "weak" you should leave my country and go to Somalia or some other failed sub-Saharan state where you can pretend that society never helped you.
Well America used to be the country where being #1 was the goal, but now we live in times where no one is #1 because it might make someone feel bad. Boo freakin whoooo!!! America is and idea that reward the industrious and successful, and respects your choice to be a lazy bum, or failure. You want a country where we all are winners, which is kinda like going to a baseball game where both teams are promised they will both be winners. BS THAT IS NOT THE AMERICAN WAY!!! That is Socialism, that is Communism, but that is not Republicanism! Oh, by the way, this used to be a Republic, and then we wandered into Democracy, and now we are wandering into Socialist Democracy...WTF!?!?!

Please spare me the bullshit. Your "personal experience" hasn't even scratched the surface. There's no way you have experienced what nearly 50 million people have experienced in the USA.

I find it sickening that you assume poor people don't have health care because they choose to spend it on "more fun things, like movies, games, beer, drugs, parties, cool cars, phones, internet, vacations, weekend trips, perfume, fast food, fancy clothes/the latest fads, music, electronics, house/apartments".

    You disgust me.

Your personal experience, and the rest of your angry substance-less rants, mean nothing on this thread. Zero. Back up your persistent assertion that the vast majority of non-insured Americans are really high-living, boozing, drug-addled, leeches on society or move the fuck on.

I'm uninsured and drunk. Then again, I'm only uninsured because I'm healthy and not exactly short on cash and I'm only drunk because nothing important will happen Monday morning.

The way this works is hardly a healthcare giveaway either. The uninsured will be taxed for not buying some form of health insurance, so if you just hate lazy uninsured people like me this is actually a good thing. If it's a giveaway to anyone it is to the people with pre-existing conditions who will now be able to buy health insurance.

This legislation was basically written to please the right-wing as much as possible and nearly copied exactly from Romneycare. In a sane world, there would have been some minor hubub over the less than 1% tax increase on the 1% and that tanning booth tax but the rest of it wouldn't have turned into an enormous medialyzed hissy fit. I just made that word up but I like it.

The more you complain, the less I care about your problems.

This is great. If only the older conservatives could get enough sense into their heads.

i like that everyone has a shot at getting health insurance, in fact im all for it. what i do not like about it is that the gubment (i know its spelled government) is basic forcing it down our throats to buy is or be fined. tax my half irish arse.
