I mean one liners which are meaningless should obviously be avoided. But oneliners which do convey a meaning or does effectively pose a valid question should be not only permitted, but encouraged, right? After all, if one line would do, why write more? Is verbosity being rewarded or something? |

Let's not dwell on this any further please. War is Peace Freedom is Slavery Ignorance is strength Harness the power of Ingsoc, then you can capture someone killed the year before |

This is the crux of this argument. If you believe that democracy can be installed by anyone other than the people who intend to abide by its rules, I think no amount of explaining can alter your view on such matters. I happen to subscribe to the beliefe that democracy, or freedom, or truth , or justice cannot be installed by a foreign army. It is a philosophy, therefore it cannot be "installed". My opinion of this attempt at fixing Iraqs problems are just another attempt by the U.S. State Dept. to install another bogus government whos only criteria for being "installed" is that they intend to cooperate with the corrupt CIA, er, I mean "contractors", that claim to know what is best for them. That is why there are seemingly more Iraqis against this "police action" than seem to support it. They know who the installed government will be expected to deal with in the future, and that why they look at this as an invasion, and an occupation. |
