So-Called Christian Coulter Bashes Tsunami Victims, Calls For Nuclear War....

What should we remember about Bill Clinton?

Coulter: "Seriously, I think the rest of the countries in the Middle East, after Afghanistan and Iraq, they’re pretty much George Bush’s bitch,"
Quote:
"I think we ought to nuke North Korea right now just to give the rest of the world a warning."
This woman is a disgrace. Any ladies out there willing to go and beat the piss out of her? I fantasize about seeing her on Hannity and Colmes and a lighting fixture falling on her. Let me guess: I'm a liberal because I can see through Coulter's BS? But seriously, how does someone like Coulter or even Mike Moore (to be fair), how are these people able to poke their heads into the mainstream with such moronic rhetoric?

Nah, I like the way she talks. I think she sounds like she has more balls than many the girlie men politicians who purport to run this country at our (i.e. taxpayer's) expense.

I say:
So you like the way she talks? What exactly do you like about it? The non-admission of facts, the blatant ignorance of law? The obvious elitist quality she exudes in her rhetoric? The reaction she gets from men, who want to beat her to a thin wafer resembling hamburger?

It is ignorant, minsinformed, elitist (your favorite obscenity here) that make the world hate us, make the true Constitutionalists enraged, and make the Bushistas squeal with zeal.

That is definitely something to "look up" to.

I think she sounds like a a moron that just regurgutates what has been grilled into her so she can sell books. I think she sounds like someone that would be stupid enough to quote Arnold "Darkness of The Dark", who in fact, is quoting an SNL sketch, who calls himself a conservative yet bans guns, supports abortion on demand and leaves the borders wide open (not to mention he lied about how much he was going to spend, campaigns for Nazi war criminals and idolizes Hitler. ) What were you saying about taxpayer's expense?

I liked her brutal frankness. She spoke her mind. No doubt about it. Can't say I agreed with everything she said, but she said what she felt and wasn't afraid to.

Hitler spoke his mind too. He "said what he felt" and "wasn't afraid to." Nuclear war is cool as long as you are "brutally frank" about it, right?

She is the Republican equivalent of Howard Stern. Profanity and rough talk reign.

She says she will speak free to black churches, but they do not want to hear from a filthy mouthed Republican skank after the way the Republicans stood in solidarity with disenfranchising blacks in Ohio. Blacks may well be socially conservative, but they recognize that their friends in the political system are white liberals, not the racists of the Republican Party.

I'm not sure Hitler spoke his mind (Say, how come you're so sure?). In fact, history says he came to power on lies and deceit.

Coulter does her "Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS" stchik, saying all sorts of outrageous things that most conservatives are too scared (OK , a few are too smart) to say. She peddles right wing porn.

So history is just one book, huh? That's interesting seeing as I've probably read about a hundred of them. "Read history", "ask you neighbor"...man, you are cutting edge!!!

No, in fact there's a whole family of Books there. But one at a time, Lou, one at a time.

Oh, ok. Sorry. I didn't realize that singular meant plural.

It doesn't matter. Any one of those Books will tell you Hitler lied through his teeth in almost every speech he made.

Letters to the Editor
The Washington Post

Dear Editor:

Godfrey Hodgson (Book World, December 18), assessing a book which claims that George W. Bush has lied about various matters, notes that pundits such as Al Franken and Ann Coulter likewise have recently accused their opponents of telling lies. Hodgson comments: "A political culture in which lies and charges of lying are thought normal is a dangerous one. Weimar was one such, and it was Adolf Hitler who learned how to exploit it."

Treating lies as normal, and even acceptable, is indeed dangerous. But there is quite a difference between the political culture of the United States today and that of Germany in the 1930s. The American atmosphere of lively political debate, in which individuals sometimes lie or are accused of lying, has caused no deaths, while Hitler's lies incited hatred and violence and helped pave the way for the murder of six million Jews in the Holocaust. Neither George W. Bush, Al Franken, or Ann Coulter deserve to be implicitly lumped together with the Nazis.

To borrow Godfrey Hodgson's phrase, one might say that a political culture in which Hitler analogies are so casually invoked is a dangerous one--for it endangers the public's ability to understand what the Hitler era was really all about.

Cordially,

Rafael Medoff, Ph.D.

Lively political debate? Caused no deaths? Who the hell is this guy kidding? The "Hitler Era" as this moron puts it, wasn't an "era". It was a manifestation of something that has existed for as long a humans have. Only the names have changed. Your ADL letter doesn't change that. If Hitler's dumbass believed what he was saying, than he was "speaking from his heart". In walks Anne Coulter....

Lou> I just hate to break this to you, but Hitler didn't even write his speeches. Goebbels did that. Hitler just delivered them in his own charismatic way. Joseph Goebbels was his propaganda chief. Hitler knew full well it was propaganda and not the truth. And, really, it is absurd to compare George Bush and Ann Coulter with possibly the most evil man of the 20th century. I'm surprised that you're even attempting it.

Thanks, but please don't read me your high school textbook. And please don't call speculation "history". I will compare Bush to Hitler. The similarities are too abundant no matter what the ADL says (for one, most of Germany was incapable of believing what was actually going on at the time. Most people simply denied the truth. Hum, sounds familiar). And how is Hitler "the most evil man history"? Hilter's atrocities PALE in comparison to Mao Zedong. I only compared Coulter's rhetoric to that of Hitler.

hehe right wing porn sounds about right. Coulter isn't being serious; she likes to make everything she says absolutely ridiculous so that she'll sell more books. It’s not as if she’s going for any award winning social commentary here people. She sells well worded insults and right wing fantasies to militia movement and bible thumper types who like to hear their stance be re affirmed. That and people who like a good laugh.

When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, militarism and economic exploitation are incapable of being conquered
