| Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,873 | Can You Hear Me Now?!? Congress is finally addressed with someone sharing a perception common to many on this board, and though no rebuttal is shown, it is nice to see it being brought out on the floor. Listen to this explanation of why many Americans don't "trust the government". http://homepage.mac.com/njenson/movies/timryanlow.html Do you think they HEAR HIM NOW?What's your take on this? | Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,873 | Dieval, Oberon, you guys are carrying etiquette violations to other posts now I see? Now we want to derail this topic, because you and Sean had words. You guys make me feel like I am back on the 6th grade playground again. You both had some nice one line, off topic, non-debate inspiring content. Thanks again. All this thread is, is an example of one person, from the public, expressing his view to Congress. Dieval, if you feel it has been dubbed, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. But you adding it here was just another attempt to discredit a topic of intrest and possible debate. You pointed out how it "may" or "may not" be dubbed, yet offer no reasoning as to why, or even finding out if it is publicly accessible. Nice attempt at a drive-by discredit. Thank you, drive through...... | Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,873 | Dieval said: I just thought that you'd like to hear something other than a dozen yes-men agreeing with everything said.... I say: I DO, I DO! I want someone to pick it apart, I want someone to prove to me he is wrong, IRREFUTABLY WRONG! I want someone to tell me I am wrong about all of the things I have uncovered, read, compiled, studied, and PROVE ME WRONG WITHOUT A DOUBT. Unfortunately, nobody who holds that opinion has shown me, fact by fact, how I am wrong. Usually the most I can get is somewhat reasonable doubt on SOME issues. There is an old saying, when the shoe fits wear it. I think the shoe fits pretty well on the fact that we have been consistently lied to by this administration, and the lack of accountability for it is STAGGERING. If the Bush administration (republican party) and the Democrats believe in our rights, our liberty, our vote, and TRANSPARENCY OF THE SYSTEM they would be right there DEMANDING a recount. Bush SHOULD be proclaiming " I dont want to win this election due to vote tampering or by some error in the voting system. I demand a clean vote, with a secured and protected paper trail for all votes, since that is the only way to insure a fair election in situations where a recount is in order." Instead we get "-------------------------" NOTHING. The major media won't cover it with investigative journalists, or on spot reporters even though a recount is being done officially now. There are sworn statements, witnesses, video evidence, and tons of circumstantial evidence. There is more evidence here than there was for both the O.J.and the Pederson trial combined. This crime doesn't only affect a couple citizens, it affects ALL citizens, so why is the media not covering this? Once again, I only ask to be proven wrong, or have a logical case made for reasonable doubt to my proposed issues, theories, material or conclusions. The bill this guy is talking about isn't mentioned anywhere in the thread, that I saw(if it was, sorry I missed it). The guy goes on a rant, stating his opinion about many different subjects.. What exactly are we trying to debating here? "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." -- Winston Churchill |

I would say your "reality" vs our reality. If you can truly watch that video, and imply that the speech has been modified to change the subject matter, I just won't know what to say. I can't imagine anybody saying something to that affect without thinking bad things about that person. Very bad things. Last edited by Milton Bradley; Dec 17, 2004 at 03:52 am. I hear Hitler was a good speaker but i dont know what he is saying. Bomb ass speech, I'd vote for this fucker on that alone, i think... eh probably not, but still, it would give him major kudos. |
