The American Media & the Arab Media play to very different groups of people & thus cover events in very different ways, But Our stated reason for being in the war conflicts with the result.

When we here look up to people for having Christian/Caring for others Values, we can't be "Bringing Democracy" in a manner that makes Us look like cruel Murderers. This is difficult to do though, what with our enemies....who's really the Enemies of the Iraqi's who want freedom too.....uses Terroristic methods of warfare. Our forced or natural disposition towards these conflicts of war as Americans who are angry Not just over 9/11(which wasn't the fault of Iraqi's/just the style of warfare used by the insurgents) but over the beheadings & car bombings and dead & wounded Soldiers....we see that & indentify & make excuses for the actions of a fellow American because we Know they are just having to be that way....because of the situation they are in.

Meanwhile, Iraqis & Arabs don't see it that way. They get their News from Al jazeera & others Muslim stations, while at the same time they can see what we see here....& its translated, so the intelligent arab can see how this war is reported to Us & to Them. Al Jazeera plays the full tape of what was first shown on ABC, filmed by an NBC embedded reporter. In the Jazeera version then man who is shot is shown and seen moving, he's either wounded or faking death a Marine notices this (This man could of been wearing a bomb or had a small gun) the Marine says, (jazeera V.) "He's Fucking moving, He's Fucking playing dead" *Tap Tap* "He's Dead Now" & the Camera shows Al Jazeera viewers the direct angle shot of the Marine Blowing this Mans Head Off!!! Then they show a still frame & place a BLACK CIRCLE around the Blood splattered on the Wall. Needless to say, We didn't see it like that. Al Jazeera & others Arab Stations were kicked out of Fallujah....So it had been the First Real footage that Muslims had seen from the War zone & It's a Man Prone on the Floor of a Mosque, being shot in the Head...with those words by the Marines & can't You see how even the Good People among the Arabs who truely want good relations with Us or who want Democracy in Iraq......Can't You Imagine what this does to their View of the West....since this is Our Direct Interaction with them? They're going Crazy, because its "We're Here for You"...to Shoot You in Your House of Worship & drop 500 pound bombs on you, as an American i'm all for it because Our Soldiers come First, and they didn't ask for this War....but I sure can see how this makes it tuff to sell that "We're Here for You" Line....This is Propaganda 101 & we're failing, it was Our embedded reporter who gave this Fury to Our Enemy, but Not all who take offense to this are supposed to be Our enemy.......


This Destroys Allawi in the Eyes of Iraqis, to them, He allowed This. Our Troops are going to be facing more resistance in more areas of Iraq....due to This. We did this once before remember, We went into Fallujah & We Lost a Lot of Men, We were actually Inside Fallujah & a Deal was made to pull Us out......Bush was Absolutely Right, This Is Hard Work.

We've Invaded a Country to set up Our Intrests Inrested in Oil, but We've placed Our Basis for Occupation in such Danger, that Our Soldiers are being Killed for Our outstanding Reasons for Being in Iraq.....

Fallujah secured or No Peace or Elections

Securing Fallujah may destroy the Peace we'd achieved

Upheavel conditions aren't good for holding Elections

Thus We must stay longer and We have to stay long enough to securecertain Intrests

Meanwhile we're turning the Arab World against Us, and their Key Issue with Us (Palestinain State) is currently up in the air due to Arafat's Death.

To Top all of This Off.....Time Mag. will report that Terrorist intel points to Nukes being moved into the U.S. via the Mexican Border....While at the same Time We now Know that Terrorists (Al Qaeda) have asked for and Received a Fatwah or Religious authority...to Use a Nuclear weapon against Us. What? You don't Believe Me when I say Its Worse Still? How could Our situation look Rosey, with Homeland Security point Man Ridge Resigning, and Bush appointee Goss, Destroying the CIA, Not to mention Powell's Resignation.

Through All This Still......Bush won't Use the Words, "Border Control", He'll appoint a Dependable Hispanic Attorney General & Renew efforts to give Citizenship to all Illegal Immigrants (In the Same Day) but We can just Live with the Potential for Terrorists Bringing Nukes in Via Our Open Mexican Borders....shoot Bush even Pushed the Supreme Court to wave a 12 year EPA study on Mexican Trucks lower emission standards....& what the Health effects would be on Us Americans with those Trucks Flooding into Our Country to do Shipping Work, These Trucks would be Like UPS to Terrorists seeking to ship over a NUKE.

Next Bush'll be pushing Ahnold for President & Signing the Bill that'll allow for Just That.

Meanwhile My fellow Americans sit around & watch it all happen, & any Time they come remotely Close to Hearing the Truth.....They Run for their Tin Foil Hats, Because their Pathetic, Passified, & their Tiny Lil Brains don't wanna have to comprehend the Actions they would Have to take...to correct the harmful way Us Americans have been used by Our Leaders.

Yes it is a disconnect. It is almost as if the two sides are fighting a different war for entirely different reasons. I wish it were so, then perhaps we could both win. But our enemies have the home field advantage and as long as we completely ignore the war they are fighting we are gonna get our asses kicked. Part of their goal is for us to leave the area. They will not stop till we leave. The more fuss we make about staying the harsher for us will be the defeat when we eventually leave.

good point... it seems that most of the world gets news more like what al jazeera shows, than what americans get. there is a strong tendency here for the media to fall in line with whatever administration is in charge.

i recently watched this documentary that showed how different media outlets "reported" the war.. the most interesting bit in that piece was how cnn's coverage here in america was significantly different than the coverage that cnni (cnn international) gave to european audiences.

why on earth would they create one version of the story for american audiences and another for everyone else?

To an extent they carry the same Intel, but the way they present that same Intel & who is watching the reports....is whats different. I'm a Christian American, i view a Marine killing a possibly booby trapped Iraqi Insurgent as Ok, an Arab Views it as it being them in their version of a church with a Marine killing a wounded Man and saying "He's Dead Now" The Media outlets know the viewers that their commercials are aimed for and they know who's watching and they play to them....You know kinda like CNN plays to Liberals.

american media shows images of prisoners kidnapped by terrorists, yet they never show the real face of war - i.e. civilian casualties. al jazeera, despite its own biases, is at least honest to the extent that it shows the real face of war. our media wants to get us riled and outraged when they show kidnapped civilians, but they want to desensitive us to what war really is.
