| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | Mr Blair, brimming over with energy, rushed to Washington to talk Bush into a joint effort to re-open peace talks in the Middle East now that a void was made with the death of Sarafat. Together they came out and made a statement to the press (most news sources only allowed us to hear "sound bites" from that statement. Bush, who in contrast to the energy of Blair, seemed half asleep but he outlined some ideas. Keep an eye open because things could happen very fast like in the month ahead. They want the West Bankers to hold an election in short order so they can have someone to make deals with about peace. They want to have some control in the area during those elections and it was suggested that Israel should pull out all their armed forces, then the Ameircans would move to "monitor" the election (to make sure it is safe and violent free) with our armed forces. Hmmm? With England and Ameirca in charge of monitoring the election we can be sure it will not be rigged in favor of who we want to be elected so that our leaders can win the prize of at last bringing peace to the area. In theory. The part not mentioned is what will happen if those people starting shooting at our troops or planting bombs to terrorize the attemted monitoring of the election? I can give you two guess - it would be called a war upon the USA and England, and we would bring in our cluster bombs and that would settle the matter because they would all mostly be dead. Or we would enlarge our military presence there and conduct house to house "gun control" inspections and arrest everyone who is a person of interest and ship them all to prison camps until after the elections and the treaty is signed, for for the next four years anyway. All I am saying with my opinion is "something is happening" and it will be another big time event. What do you read into these lastest developments? |
