So, lets see, out of a possible 638 votes cast, 4,258 voted for Bush.
Arrest Bush.

Should America Trust the Results of the Election?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Commentary by Shane Cory
November 5, 2004

Days after the election, 55 million Americans are still scratching their heads and wondering how it is that George W. Bush won reelection.  Garnering 8 million more votes than he earned in 2000, many are raising eyebrows as to how this was accomplished.

While no one wants to cry "fraud" and lead a tinfoil hat brigade, a buzz is growing on the Internet that whispers to the amazed and confused that they should not close the books on this election just yet.

Members of the discussion forum, DemocraticUnderground.com dug in and have already found a clear error in the vote count within Ohio.  In one voting precinct in Gahanna, Ohio, 4,258 voters supposedly cast an electronic ballot for George Bush while only 260 voted for John Kerry. While it is vaguely possible that over 94% of voters in the precinct supported George W. Bush, it is a hard number to believe considering that only 638 voters were counted at the polling center.

Many good posts from you. It's not proper etiquette to post only to say that, so I don't, but many many good ones.

I think it means that polls are just opinions. Nice graphs though.

And leading questions do influence the results now don't they.

What you're smelling isn't the changing of the guard, its that the parade has already passed you.

Those are elephant turds.

Really how long is it going to take to accept that the majority of the populace has cast their vote.

If you read the guardian letter thread you will see how close, I feel, that Kerry came.

But international unintentional influence swung Ohio to Bush.

Time to move on.

This is the first I've heard of this. Did you hear when she said that the exit polls matched the polling places where there were paper ballots and the ones where there were automated machines, the results were off. One of Fox's token Dems was questioning this on election night and was gone after the next commercial break.

OK, Good. This is the largest FOIA ever filed.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON Nov 3 2004 -- Did the voting machines trump exit polls? There’s a way to find out.

Black Box Voting (.ORG) is conducting the largest Freedom of Information action in history. At 8:30 p.m. Election Night, Black Box Voting blanketed the U.S. with the first in a series of public records requests, to obtain internal computer logs and other documents from 3,000 individual counties and townships. Networks called the election before anyone bothered to perform even the most rudimentary audit.

America: We have permission to say No to unaudited voting. It is our right.

Among the first requests sent to counties (with all kinds of voting systems -- optical scan, touch-screen, and punch card) is a formal records request for internal audit logs, polling place results slips, modem transmission logs, and computer trouble slips.

An earlier FOIA is more sensitive, and has not been disclosed here. We will notify you as soon as we can go public with it.

Gr8tfuldaniel,
Thanks for the graphic, I thought that was very interesting. There are a couple of things about it that I find questionable though. Why did they only include data on 3 states with paper ballots? Surely there were more states than that that used them. If the trend was true for them all then it would only have strengthened their case to include them in the data. It also troubles me that no reference was given for the exit polling data.
I am interested in seeing what comes of FOIA requests though.

If they respond to the FOIA with some bullshit like "Sorry, we dont have paper trail to audit" We can demand a revote. We can keep grubby corporate claws off our votes.
Here is what we Americans can do: Contact Ralph Nader and demand that he Demand a recount in New Hampshire for starters. The Kerry campaign has made it obvious that they are spineless by conceding while votes were still not counted. Our troops hadnt even voted yet.
So, if you are wondering what you can do........
Here is what I did:
1) Go To ContactRalph Send him something like this:
Quote:
Hey Ralph,
Please help save America from GWBush. Demand a recount, starting with New Hampshire. Your whole political career could come down to this.... Deliver us from evil. Thats right you can be a real live All American Hero. I am on my knees begging you..... PleasePleasePlease.

I would have to hunt it down, check back later.
Edit to add: Really only need it to be true in Ohio to turn around the election.

Are you somehow in posession of information that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that elections in general (not just THIS one) are all on the up and up?
This has nothing to do with evil. How do we know for SURE bush (or Clinton, or Reagan or Carter, for that matter) won the election(s) with an accurate vote tally?

I suspect you yourself might suggest possible vote fraud if Kerry had squeaked to a win. I think it is blindly partisan for ANYONE to automatically assume there is NO vote fraud.

Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots.

I think thtis claim is false. I just checked the election results in Ohio, and Kerry had no county where he lost in a total landslide to Bush.

It would be interesting to try to track those voters down and ask them again who they voted for. After all, it is possible that people deliberately misled the exit pollsters but now that the results are in they might not have a problem with revealing their vote for the purposes of determining if there was foul play. I wonder what the correlation is to the electronic voting systems that showed the discrepancy and a paper record of the vote?

How can anybody even attempt to address the possibility of a "fair vote" with the coomplete takeover of the media?

How can ANYBODY make an informed decision when they are deprived of the pertinent information?

I can't speak for anyone else but I don't see how I could be partisan since
I've never even been a Democrat. I attack both of you two party, corporate bullies equally. Keep parrotting the party line and I hope you enjoy the infighting in your own party between the God squad and the old school Republicans; that should be starting up in the next few months.
