Here is a petition from Move-On Investigate the Vote

The Petition I posted yesterday is already at 34,000! If it doubles EVERY day, we will have a mandate in no time.

Major bugs found in Diebold vote systems
Computer Science Professor Avi Rubin of John Hopkins University analyzed Diebold's 47,609 lines of code and found it uses an encryption key that was hacked in 1997 and no longer is used in secure programs.
Its not lookin so good for the incumbent.

Diebold execs also were counted among Bush's contributors. I didn't delve in too far into this and there are really not a LOT of Bush contributors at Diebold according to this, but I'm getting a little curious at this point.

Yes, I believe I would. This is bigger than just right here right now. Rigged elections are a good sign of fascism. I am not a big Kerry fan. I really just voted for him because he looked like the one to beat Bush. Bush is the closest thing to fascism this country has ever known.

I dont care much for
1) Gun Control
2) Abortion (but I dont think it is always wrong, I had a girlfriend killed my unborn child, it about killed me)
3) Taxes (especially when they rob from the poor to give to the rich)

I am not a Democrat, but they are better than what we have now, and even worse? The path we are on will be a curse to us all.

Ed Helms, Jon Stewart's sidekick on the Daily Show had a funny segment that was kinda pathetic, too.

A cool video for those with fast internet. "Slow Voter Turnout"

About a little box on the Florida voter registration form that says you haven't been adjudicated "mentally incompetent"

If you fail to notice and don't check that little box, you are disenfranchised for being "slow". Another good way to keep people from voting.

I would have. You know I'm not a Kerry fan and I voted to get Bush out of office. BUT, I am just one voter with my own opinions and if the TRUE majority of the people want Bush in for 4 more, then that's as it should be regardless of my felings. I'm not wrong for voting for Kerry and neither are those who voted for Bush. It's purely an opinion as to who you vote for, and since it IS the only power the people in general have, I don't care for the idea that someone may be screwing with it.
Think about it. If anyone, regardless of who it actually is, tampers with the votes for any reason, and we do not ALL demand it be found out and the perpetrators punished SEVERELY, we have given up the ONE and ONLY thing that makes this country a "democracy" and have voluntarily offered ourselves up to the government as serfs.

Dieval, I know you support Bush but forget about that for a second and ask yourself one question. If these guys are willing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars trying to get elected, what is so wrong with putting them under some close scrutiny if there is even a HINT of fraud? The stakes are far too high to dismiss the possibility of vote fraud just because your guy won.

What makes you think I wouldn't be. It would be like saying that I would be happy if a thief killed my neighbor just because I didn't like my neighbor. What the hell is wrong with you?

Look, I never said that were weren't some problems with the voting or the equipment. But it's not the wide spread fraud that gr8 and everyone else is making it out to be. No one but the conspiracy theorists actually believe it's that big of an issue.

It's awfully coincidental that the anti-Bush people here have picked up the conspiracy theory torch and started to run with it....like I said, if it was Kerry that won, I doubt you people would be doing th same thing...

Dieval, I don't understand what the big deal is. If there is no fraud then nothing will change. If there is fraud then maybe Bush will still be president but hopefully we would try to keep it from happening again. The best way to handle this is to let the investigations proceed. If there was fraud it will come out. Better now than later. The fact that so many are against an investigation doesn't help the situation one bit.

I'm not stopping any investigations.....I just don't believe that there is the widespread fraud that some people here claim there was...

Fair enough. But in an election this close widespread fraud is not necessary. Just several dozen key counties in one key state. And the fact that there have been so many irregularites that fit that pattern requires that there be an investigation.

There have always been irregularities...nothing new...just about everything that's been posted here was identified and corrected...

I am surprised Bush hasnt launched a white wash committee to investigate itself, and put all these horrible allegations to rest. Like the 911 Omission and the CIA report that congress ordered for the outing of Valerie Plame which was done in july but was suppressed until after the elections.

The problem with your logic here is that you're assuming there's something to white wash.....

That is a matter of opinion. There is only one way to settle this.
