Some were from voters who said they repeatedly pressed the "Kerry" button on their electronic voting screens, only to have "Bush" keep lighting up. Others said that though they pushed "Kerry," they were asked to confirm their "Bush" vote.
No need to investigate that. Thats just SOP.

Singley's outrage was sparked by clearly hostile white poll workers, and the police officer who stood -- illegally -- by a polling place door, hand on his revolver.
That cop should have been shot, or at least arrested

These are both found on the article I posted awhile ago link

The damn cop was breaking the law. Somebody should have made a citizens arrest and if he resisted, cant you shoot someone for resisting arrest? Cops do it all the time. When they stop obeying the law they are outlaws, right?

Maybe he was...maybe he should have been asked to leave, rather then suggesting that he be shot... And no, you can't shoot people for resisting arrest(even though I don't think that's a bad idea)....the police shoot people when their lives(or other lives) are threatened...

You can stop people who are resisting arrest by shooting them to bring them down, not kill or hurt them severly. So, the way I see it is the cop is there doing his job, you shoot him for it, you get arrested and post conspiracy theories from a jail cell with your new husband Bubba.

And? It's citing things that were KNOWN to have happened and TAKEN CARE OF.

It just comes down to proof.

Well, just like any crime they will KEEP doing it until they are prosecuted. You are acting like these are all just accidents rather than a pattern of crimes.

I should clear this up:

I spoke in anger a minute ago when I said that cop should have been shot. I dont feel that way. I was wrong. I am strongly against anarchy and that "Policemen Are Our Friends". I just get so mad when they abuse their power. But the right way to handle it is through the proper channels.
I humbly regress.

See? I thought so.

Funny how all these "accidents" happened in Bushs favor

Some snippets from an important update from Dennis Kucinich (The Peace President) Ohio Congressman

A Note On The Presidential Election in Ohio
by Congressman Dennis Kucinich

The 2004 presidential election was determined by the results of Ohio. The unofficial result, as reported on November 3, had George Bush with approximately 136,000 more votes than John Kerry. Senator Kerry conceded the election to President Bush. He also said every vote would be counted.
I have been vigilant in monitoring Ohio's election in 2004. Attorneys from my party closely monitored the election before and during election day. While there were some incidents of voter intimidation noted by the attorneys, most if not all cases were resolved at the scene because of quick action by challengers, witnesses, the Kerry campaign, and volunteers from other campaigns including my own.

The unofficial count gave Ohio to George Bush by approximately 136,000 votes. The official count by county Boards of Election will begin on Saturday, November 13, 2004. It is due at the Secretary of State's office by December 1. The Secretary of State must certify the election by December 3
Quote:
Meanwhile, it is obvious that the Help America Vote Act of 2002 needs to be refined. Arduous voter identification rules unfairly penalize the poor, lead to a violation of rights and defeat the intent of the act.

The official tabulation of votes for Ohio will begin on Saturday and will include four categories not reflected in the unofficial count: provisional ballots, late absentee ballots, overseas military and overseas civilian.
Quote:
I believe we must pursue every lead which raises questions about the integrity of the electoral process. Our work may not change the outcome, but it will demonstrate that beyond our commitment to our candidates, we have a higher commitment to our democracy.

Glitch causes Franklin Co. recount
Star report
November 11, 2004

BROOKVILLE, Ind. - Election equipment counted straight-party votes for Democratic candidates as Libertarian votes, an error that could affect election outcomes in as many as nine counties, the Richmond Palladium-Item reported today.

Democrats discovered the error in Franklin County, where ballots will be counted again tonight.

The county's election equipment vendor, Fidlar, notified officials Wednesday of the error. more.....

Recount changes one Franklin Co. race
IndyStar
Associated Press
November 12, 2004

BROOKVILLE, Ind. -- A Democrat gained enough votes to bump a Republican from victory in a county commissioner's race after a recount prompted by a computer glitch in optical-scan voting.

The glitch in the Fidlar Election Co. vote-scanning system had recorded straight-Democratic Party votes for Libertarians.

When votes in southeastern Indiana's Franklin County were recounted by hand Thursday night, Democrat Carroll Lanning leaped from fifth to third in the three-seat commissioners race and Republican Roy Hall fell to fifth.
Hooray for Democracy!!
All things being relative, I would look at presidential result as well. Indy picked Bush by something like 75%. I find it hard to believe 75 people voted for him (after his showing up at the debates on some kinda drugs or something)
