The central theme of both Bush and Kerry is to have the people of Iraq vote for the person or people who would make up their new government, to do that you would have to have a fair election and to have a fair election you would need outside monitors to watch over how the voting is done and how the votes are counted. That would mean that a lot of people from other countres (other then USA and England) would need to come and stay for a while inside of Iraq, but they will not come if the place is still unsafe and forieners are still being killed - viewed as occupation forces.

It is kind of a catch 22, we basically demand and want to force them to take part in a free election. And we know that such a election would not create internal peace within Iraq if certain cities are way too violent for outside inspectors to set up voting booths and to collect votes, for if such cities cannot take part in the voting then they can claim they were not properly represented and they will continue the revolution and/or terrorism agenst the government elected by the Iragi people elsewhere.

Moreover, Bush has set a timeline or date for that free election - and time is running out fast and it is still not safe to hold such an election that would involve outside monitoring to make sure the process is fair. Not meeting that deadline would be seen as another failure on the part of the USA relative to reconstruction efforts, and related exit planning.

The only person known to the world for having knowledge about how to maintain a stable Iraq, which has always contained those tribal differences, is Saddam, and he is in jail awaiting trials by that new government if it is ever going to be established.

And we cannot say Saddam just had order because he was a mean guy and used military intimidation, for if the Iragi people are not fearful of the gaint superpower then they were not fearful of Saddam. So what was his secret for unity amoung the many religious and secular factors in Iraq? Is anyone asking his advice? Not likely.

I know what Saddam's secret control method was. But Bush and Kerry do not know how to employ that method.

Thus, we are stuck in what seems to be a sandtrap. And it appears that all our planning for Iraq is like a sand painting - it looks nice but soon is blown away by the winds of change.
