Or is it Karl Rove, political genius, or the two of them as team. In any case, Bush seems like a political Wunderkind, never having lost an election.

Or is it simply that Bush's views are more popular, or that he promotes his views more skillfully than his opponents promote theirs? Or is it that his opponents are monumentally inept?

Tune in next race for the amazing conclusion!

I choose. "Or is it that his opponents are monumentally inept?" I think the fact that John Kerry could not capture the hearts and minds of more U.S. citizens over a controversial person such as G.W. Bush shows alot about him, his campaign strategy, or both.

I say that the establishment makes sure you do not have a legitamate choice, or at least that you don't THINK you have a choice, even though there were seven candidates on the ballot.

Only a small segment of the population seems to aware of media manipulation on the scale that it actually happens.

The rest choose our President.

Don't think for a minute that we are not mad about it either.

George bush has won this election through clever targetting of mass voting groups, Its clever, very clever, But im not drediting him with it, hes just the figure head of a body of geniuses who seem to have the election strategy nailed.

For example, at the last election, bush was fairly impartial about gay rights, this one him some of the gay votes, although most still went to the democrats. At the latest election, he took a firm line against homosexual marriage, However this massivly increased his vote amongst americas massive evangelical votiong core who turned out in much greater numbers to re-elect bush this time round.

This pattern has appeared in several other voting groups, Bush and his team are simply targeting the largest groups at the expense of minorities. H e is pandering to the majority and who knows what his real values might be.

Fear is your only god.

Downwiththestereotype.

Sad but true. Considering Bush's monumental incompetence in defending this country, it should have been Kerry's to lose. And he lost it.

I don't suffer from insanity... I thoroughly enjoy it

1. G.W. Bush has a strong conviction about his own ideals and beliefs. He airs this, people like that.

2. Kerry had a very mixed message and he focussed on different things during the campaign, while Bush just kept repeating the same things over and over again. It never became exactly clear, for the majority of the people, what Kerry stood for.

3. Bush never admits mistakes. People dont want to hear about failure in leadership.

4. Bush has a very fanatical, rockfast followers (religious white, gun owners, suburban middle aged salary workers), while Kerry voters are more diverse, more focussed on the issues instead of the person, and generally not as loyal or convinced of their leader's character or person. They are also more likely to admire intelligence and nuance in a person, instead of warmth-of-character and christian morals like Bush voters.

5. Bush's campaign strategy works: he tells people what they want to hear: "it is going great!". Especially in a time of war and economic uncertainty, people do not want to hear doom and gloom stories, they want something to hope for. In such times people are more likely to want stability and continuation as opposed to change and nuance.

6. Negative campaigning. It is much easier to throw mud at a newcomer, since people don't know anything about him. They already have certain ideas about the current president, but the image of the challenger must be build. Bush correctly attacked that image before Kerry himself could really create his own profile.

Bush a genius? Genius implies that he has done something extraordinary. No, I do not think so. It has to do with the times, the party, the opposition, the people around Bush, and the people in America in general.

I think there is a kind of Genius involved, but only relative to plitical "street smarts" and not over-all. The art of looking a little stupid, but speaking in simple terms which are popular with the majority of people who like non-complexity in their issues. But then when outside the public eye they are masterminding plans no sane leader would even think about doing - then looking dumb-founded if someone catches on, and appearing to have a poor memory or lack of information.
Reagan used the same kind of front as what Bush is using, that is no mistake, it is all a well thought-out mode of conduct.
And I do not mean that as some kind of conspiracy theroy, but as something self-evident.

It reminds me of those gangster movies where they appear nice to their family, go to church on Sunday and demonstrate faith, and even do some kind deeds in the eyes of the public, but at night they are out with their tommy guns killing off other gangs and masterminding all kinds of unlawfull activities to get rich quick so they can mingle with the wealthy few. The old mob boss approch in effect only with Washington and the rest of the would as it's backdrop.

When there is another terror attack, then you can rally around the man who allows it.
Hurray. What a sad day for America. Those "religious" folk who cannot name one principal they agree with Bush on, will sooner Kill Other Innocent Human Beings in Iraq, when it says clearly in their Bible that it is wrong to kill, than to admit that they elected the Anti Christ and his buddies to the House.
Nice, real nice.. Baaa Baaaah Bush Bush.
Well, thou shalt not kill, unless it is for oil or power.
God wont forgive us, and he wont help us when the shit hits the fan . And BTW I am not religious, however realize that there is a chain of events for every action, and a consequence for it. Kill and we will be killed. Now, because Bush won, the world views American people as being all like him. Bad thing.

Prettyhead, what? You do not believe in the Father, the spirit, and his son George Bush? Why the Burning Bush in the Bible is going to get you for that.

(just kidding)
