Hell, hes a politician and first and foremost he needs votes. He checks out the handles and levers on groups he can pull to get them to vote for him, ie what they want and how big their group is and then he formulates policy based on that. That has nothing to do whatsoever with his private agenda unless of course by a lucky coincidence it just happens to be the same which is highly unlikely.

He doesn't mince the truth to make it palatable for the larger majority votes. He is not terribly articulate with a degree in law. He has continued to pursue an unpopular war. He keeps saying he has faith in God, when his silence would have garnered a few more votes.

You could not be more dead wrong in a statement on a discussion board. I'll bet I can even find pre-election posts by you which confirm what I'm saying.

Do you mean against what he personally advocates? I don't think so. What you see is what you get.

Maybe but I would have thought republicans banning stem cell technologies would have been easy to push through especially with a republican majority in congress but look at this article.
