And that is that. The numerical 2% that Kerry would have to overcome with 3% of the vote not counted and the amount fothe absentee and provisional ballots required to fall his way are.... it would be a miracle.

Its over, I am going to bed, quite happy, and hoping this doesn't drag out past a week, but why oh why do I think it will?

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

Yep, I stayed up late and counts now favor Bush but the whole thing is so close it might as well have been a tie. John Edwards announced his party will wait until every vote has been counted, CNN did the math and if kerry got a large percentage of provisional votes he could still win the election, and those under (Ohio) state law cannot be counted until 8 to 10 days from now, and the state still uses the "hanging chad" ballets, so lawyers from both sides of the fense are swaming into Ohio and possible legal tests are in the wind. The same might apply to the state of Nev. as a 2nd front for questioning some of the other seculations that Bush has won.

No doubt Bush will return to Washington and carry on as President and might give little attention to the Kerry stand to wait it out until all voters have their say.

But I do not think Kerry has much chance to alter the Bush lead anymore the did Gore during the last election - looks like four more years of Bush.

Meanwhile out in Califorina voters have said yes to spending a billion or so dallors for stem cell research, which was supported by Republican Gov. Arnold S. Although a bit early to say, the vote to change the three stikes law is winning by a small margin. Thousands of inmates in our state prision may being seeing the light of freedom shortly.

So it looks like the votes favor Bush by a small margin but not with enough lead to count Kerry out due to many write-in or other kinds of votes still being counted.

Tune in next week for the final and absolute total and who really won when all is said and done.

With such close elections it is clear Ameircans need to reform all out voting mehtodlogies and get it down to one system that is easy to tabulate without a lot of legal or extended times for those votes left behind in the rush for victory.

it's good because now bush inherits his own mess.

either he learns to curb his spending or the next election may be a landslide against him.

I heard there were a number of surprising victories. Namely, Dashchle being defeated. I didn't even know he was up for election. Same with Boxer winning. I'm not surprised she won, but didn't hear about her run, or one peep from her opponent.

Dude on the radio said, it might not be dragged through the courts as much as we thought, because along with winning EV's, Bush won popular votes as well.

I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water.

Wouldn't know it if he tripped over it.

Right. That little old constitutional amendment ought not to pose any problem.

If anyone is kicking themselves, it would be George Zimmer, and George Soros. Combined they poured over 100 million right down the drain. And not one dollar of it fed a starving cripple.

Yes, Bush is a winner (unofficially).
I hope lawyers would stay far-away this time. Otherwise, we have (again) : "National Circuss - Part 2" :-)))

Wrong. It's a form of wealth redistribution: every penny spent -- and much of it is spent locally -- helps the economy tick over.

OHIO
100% of Precincts Reporting
George W. Bush 2,777,645 - 51 percent
John Kerry 2,632,547 - 48 percent

NATIONAL
95% of Precincts Reporting
George W. Bush 51% 56,732,387
John Kerry 48% 53,004,905

Those are the telling numbers. Namely Bush has a huge lead in Ohio specifically, and the Popoular Vote this time, is in his corner.

Kerry may try to fight this, but the chances of sucess, very low..

Thats whats great about this country, even though Bush has power for for more years - thats it.

In 2008 there will be a transferee of power. Each president can have either 4 or 8 years, after that - new leader.

Dashchle gone is just a bonus. I hope that now, Bush will open communication channels with the rest of the world and begin to build a new bridge of communication with the rest of the world.

I'm from Ohio, and we got blitzed with political add and phone calls in the days leading up to this election.

Also, Ohio passed the constitutional amendment banning gay marriages. Though I heard that issue also appeared on other ballots as well.

It a defense against the Mass judicial decision to approve gay marriage.

If Dreier would've been defeated, it would've been even better, but you can't have everything I guess.

Just have to get those prolifers onto them, they will sort them out. I'm sure they can find a justification in the bible somewhere.
