Although Bush is a terrible president, I could never vote for Kerry for the following reasons: 1. Voted for the PATRIOT Act 2. Voted for the Presidential War Powers Act 3. Supports the ban on gay marriage 4. Supports the federal war on drugs 5. Supports more useless social programs and more taxes 6. Supports stronger sanctions 7. Supports the federal reserve 8. Supports gun control 9. Voted for No Child Behind Act, yet another pointless social program gone awry 10. Supports federal income tax 11. Supports the criminalization of gambling and prostitution 12. Supports government control over the spectrum 13. At the DNC, they had free speech zones surrounded on all sides by chainlink fence and razor wire 14. Supports useless business regulations 15. Supports raising the unconstitutional minimum wage 16. Supports a more internationalized foreign policy 17. Supports government granted corporate monopolies 18. Supports social security 19. Supports government subsidies 20. Supports WTO, NAFTA, and its ilk Kerry would be merely a continuation in the batch of egomaniacal statists running our country. |

I could see voting for Kerry in a swing state, but especially since I live in Washington, I knew that a vote for Kerry would be useless, so I voted Badnarik. |

Something about him really pissedme off, especially his speeches. At least Badnarik is a formidable public speaker, and looks the most presidential out of all the third parties. |

Bush 207 to Kerry 206. It could still go either way. But no matter WHO wins, half of the country didn't want him. Not my idea of a mandate, that much is certain. <edit> it appears Volconvo's webhost hasn't reset its clocks. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. |

Dude. barely any of Ohio has reported in. Many polls are still open because of such long line ups. The one college is reporting near 100% voter turn out and young people are voting over welhemingly for Kerry. I wouldn't get too excited just yet. However I do think it will be close. | |

| Hot Lava Location: Spokane, WA Posts: 782 | Well, there are a few plausible tie situations. If Hawaii goes Kerry, Nevada goes Bush, Ohio goes Kerry, Florida goes Bush (it already has), and Wisconson goes Bush I believe it's a 269 tie. In that case, Bush will be elected. |

| Hot Lava Location: Spokane, WA Posts: 782 | If Kerry takes Ohio he has to take either Hawaii, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, or another swing state to win. All Bush has to do is win Ohio. The big race for me is between Nader and Badnarik, with Nader up about 30k. |
