| Guest Posts: n/a | i propose a company salary limit that says the highest paid leader may only be paid 100X as much as the average worker. this might limit the income of the managers to only a few million dollars. this would still allow plenty of room for 'reward' and 'incentive', but also chop off quite a lot of excess and help companies and the economy run more efficiently. this model would also immediately update for inflation. laws like this are in effect in other areas of the world. 100X is a very generous figure. |

| BANNED Location: Los Angeles Posts: 3,203 | That is a dumb idea, what is wrong with someone making money? I work. I am an employee and I make jack shit. I don't think my job is of any more value than what I am being paid though (7.50/h plus monthly profit sharing and overtime is time in a half). The owners of the company I work for manage tens of thousands of other locations, they started this company up, and are more than deserving of the money they make. Your socialist ideas show me that you have a lack of understanding on what defines good and evil. |

Posts: 4,412 | I didn't go to college, but it took me many years to learn my job at low wages. Why aren't I making $35 million? It's an arbitrary decision made by the people who make the decisions. It has nothing to do with free markets. There are no free markets in the U.S. I don't care about the salary cap, I just think we need a living, not a minimum wage. |

| Go the Crusaders Posts: 671 | Actually in the 80's the salary cap for executives was 20x the average wage. This has now grown immeasurably to the stage that some executives earn far more than they ever manage to produce for a company. I quite like the idea of setting a cap, it would need to be applicable to all companies in all countries though. You have two choices in life: You can stay single and be miserable, Or get married and wish you were dead. |

| Molten Ash Posts: 58 | minnimum wage and salary caps r all well in good but they do have there problems for example if u up minnum wage to say 7 dollars and hour then all the companies have to pay there employees more so they compensate by raising prices for goods and services not to meet but to ecede the raise in salary the have to pay there workers so lets say u pay workers 5.25an hour to make a toy and you total cost for production of a taoy including labor is 5 bucks u sell sell the toy for 10 and make a prfit of 100% now minimum wage is upped to 7.00 now it cost u a total of 6.50 to make that same toy do u increase the cost of the toy to 11.50 to cover it so u make the same profit u were makeing no instead the copany makes they toy cost 13.00 so that they still get 100% profit and now are making even more money than before and now those workers who got a pay increase cant afford to get the damn toy they make because the cost of living has increased acrossed the board personaly i think we need to wipe the slate clean and go back to bartering heh think about it |

Maybe I should tell you how to brush your teeth, or how much toothpaste to use. Ideological loyalty is the act of giving your soul to a vague concept, to be manipulated by people smarter than you. |
