I'm going to vote for Bush because in good conscience I can't vote for Kerry....If Kerry is elected..I truly hope he can do better...truly...because I have the best interest of my country ahead of any political affiliation..but somehow...something in my gut tells me it's going to get worse if he does make it the Oval Office.

likewise, i'm voting for kerry because i can't in good conscience vote for bush again.

he does not have the country's best interests.. the man has been led around by the nose by his neocon cabal, and he has a god complex where he believes that he's doing the lord's work. he's allowing the mission in afghanistan to fail, he invaded iraq when it was not necessary nor in our national interests to do so. he's saddled the middle class with a shit ton of unnecessary debt.. he's taken his eye off the ball, and lost focus on al qaeda. saddam didn't attack us on 9/11, al qaeda did!

i have seen what bush has done to our country in these past 4 years, and we cannot handle another 4 just like this one.

and regardless of who's elected, i fear a draft.. can't say for certain who'd institute one, but if i were to say which person's more capable of such a maneuver, i'd say it's the man who never fought who is always ready to rush to war - bush.

    hope for america...

C'mon bishop..you know the Draft is a red herring throw out there by the Democrats to scare the independents and the young...not one Republican has talked bout a draft...the Pentagon says one isn't needed..and the President has gone on record saying there wont' be one.

As for his Christian upbringing..he's never stated in any forum where he believes he's doing the Lord's Work..as if God was personally giving him his marching orders...another scare tactic used by Democrats.

And failing in Afghanistan...2/3 of the known Al-Queda leadership is either dead or rotting in jail somewhere, the Al-Queda camps are gone...the Taliban are no longer an effective fighting or political force, and Afghanistan has just had it's first free elections...what do you mean fail?

no, i don't believe anything the bush administration says anymore.. and trust republican leaders like tom delay??? no thanks. they lied too many times - they have permanently lost my trust. and, the pentagon has just recently said that it needs more troops.. they've already initiated the stop-loss draft.. not too many other sources for additional troops other than a draft. the republicans can deny the accusations to their heart's extent.. it's a matter of whether/not i believe them. i don't.

about the god talk.. have you seen the many quotes bush made about how his decisions are guided by his faith? his closest supporters believe that god chose him for this job, and he believes it. it isn't difficult to find these quotes, they're plentiful.

about the 2/3 of al qaeda.. do you assume that al qaeda never refills its ranks? it does!!! no doubt that bad people are reaping huge profits off of their record opium harvest. afghanistan is falling back into feudalism and the taliban has been resurfacing.

    hope for america...

Well.you can believe it or not...I won't dispute what you believe...but the fact is...no one has talked bout it...not one single solitary Republican.....that is a fact..

And stop loss isn't a draft...and it's nothing new..it was in my contract when I signed it over 30 yrs ago..."The needs of the military"....clause clearly indicates you can be kept past your EAS (End of Active Service) if the military needs you. You know this when you sign the contract...

As for Al-Queda...it takes time to refill shoes..when leaders die, crucial information, crucial plans are waylaid..sure...Al-Queda recruits..and we'll continue to nail them as they come up the ranks. Opium is a straw argument...they've been growing opium since the days of Alexander..and even he with his army never controlled the Hindu Kush mountains...the only way the Taliban could control the opium trade was because they shot every drug grower they could find...makes for great incentive not to grow it...and Afghanistan is going forward...free elections, liberty to do what you want to with your life...that is what we gave them.

Well ACause, it sure is nice to see a non-Kerry supporter actually hope Kerry does well if he is elected as president. After Nov 2nd there will be a lot of "end of the world" "I'm moving to Canada" talk regardless of who wins. I, like yourself, don't particularly enjoy either candidate, but we're going to get one of them, and I hope that A) if we get Bush, he shapes up and does a better job in his 2nd term or B) Kerry follows through and leaves the U.S. better off than it was before.

Both are crap in my opinion. I want Nov 2nd to come and go so we know what kind of crap we have to deal with for the next 4 years.

During the last debate the host asked Bush about his religious views concerning national policy. Bush suggested he prays for guideance and said he has this vision to making the world free because that is how God would want the world to be. Meaning he has plans for an number of other wars and occupational take-overs.

Now can we do that with weekend reservists and with the national guard?

Bush Sr said "read my lips, no new taxes" but then after taking office was forced to raise taxes. Bush said "read my lips, no draft". So - take your chances (will he be forced to change his mind?).

The answer involves another aspect. If the Bush (CEO tyoes) can outsource enough jobs to other countries then our unemployment will rise, we would have millions of unemployed poor folks needing a job. The plan then is to take advantage of the rise in unemployement by opening up more jobs in the military. Free medical care for your family, free housing, free food, just join the Army and provide for your wife and kids. If they can create a vast amount of unemployed people then they would not need to have a draft, people would sign up because that is the fastest job they can get.

So the outsourcing and the enlistement of people goes hand and hand. Read the writing on the wall - simple as ABC.

Plus, more military equipment production would need to be funded which would create jobs for some of the unemployed. (the ones with a collage education).

Once more the military would beocme the "wealthy few" as the leading industry and user of the oil, which they would buy from Halliburton.

    Technosoul.

If Bush wins, it will be a celebration of insanity.

It is clear that these people are criminals. If it wasn't clear that Yugoslavia was a crime, or that the sanctions against Iraq, or the first Gulf War or Vietnam was a crime, there is no way for anyone with any sanity or sense at all to say that the attack against the people of Iraq wasn't a crime against humanity.

If Kerry wins, we may be in for the same pile of shit, but at least we can say we tried to do something about it.

And if Kerry is just as bad, or Gods forbid...worse...will you say you're sorry for voting for him?...

Oh, I'm not at all happy about voting for Kerry. I would much rather be voting Socialist or Green.

Kerry's making such a big stink about the draft, I wonder if that isn't the first thing he'll do. That and lower taxes again for the wealthy. Attack some other country.
