A Political Parable . . . .

Only a blind person cannot see that he or she is being robbed or describe the thief as it is happening, but they should be aware of the robbery in progress from the sounds, smells and vibrations ---

---Or---

Does the robber have to inflict a personal threat in order to be recognized???

Opinions & Obama's Afghanistan War Speech

Everyone should be able to voice their right of opinion!

I may not agree with someone else's opinion, but I will fight to the death for them to be allowed to voice it --- Even you NoJingoLingo!!!

Here is my opinion :

Obama will blame his own generals and other military commanders in the field when he fails in Afghanistan, even though he has no military experience himself . . .

Because Obama can do no wrong, for he is truly a legend in his own mind . . .

A golden boy . . .

And is backed by blind followers who are dwindling in number by the day!

Again I direct you to the post I made showing his accomplishjments etc. I even relinked the post for TR and then directed you to that and here you are STILL asking what Obama has done... This as well as your inability to link to your Cheney admin rants should be evidence enough that you are only interested in using this board to copy your blog to.

Obama Now Owns The Mess!!!

President Obama did not create the financial crisis, or the Afghanistan/Iraq Wars, or the Health Care debacle . . . and any other messes you can think up ---

However, he signed on as the presidential responsible party; therefore if he fumbles the U.S. economy, or the war strategy plans, or Health Care ....etc., ---

Then he will be held accountable by a devastated American public, that has no concern with who he was or who he is!!!

Response to NoJingoLingo - Post #124

I beg to differ with you NoJingoLingo.

I in fact am building a case to foreshadow the fall of President Barack Obama from public office and well in advance of the coming event.

I choose to ignore your attempts to shine a 'Baby Ruth' bar *(insert analogous equivalent in regard to visual description)*.

You can polish it and polish it, but it never will shine!

You are, in fact, building a spam-center. There is a difference. There is no substance to any of your long-winded, conspiratorial, dogmatic lunacy. You are convincing noone but yourself, and I am convinced that you were convinced before Obama was ever President.

Chicago chapter of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), had changed their name before Obama's 2008 election campaign -- changed to read Council on Global Affairs.

Why does Barack Obama distance himself from this organization, that so many of his friends, associates and cabinet members belong to?

First link lists Michelle Obama as member and on the board of directors alphabetically.

President Barack Obama is surrounded by CFR members including his own wife.

My simple question is what has caused President Obama 'not' to become a member, even though he cannot turn around without seeing a fellow CFR member???

Barack Obama Was Elected on a Platform of 'Change', then . . . Poof!!!

I guess the more it 'changes', the more it actually stays the same, which then it obviously becomes more 'same of the same'.

President Barack Obama has chosen to borrow liberally from George W. Bush's wartime playbook!

In his West Point speech he basically placed everything under an umbrella of 'In the interest of national security', but what we might want to question, is what exact intel has caused Obama to start using the GWB wartime playbook!?!?

* (Note: The following is just an irritating example)!

Does their Intel indicate a WMD threat made by Al Qaeda (eg: nuclear suitcase bomb), and perhaps going to be transferred to Hezbollah operatives for U.S. deployment???

So, baiscally, arguing we're simply under assault by a big, bad Bin Laden boogeyman is putting the cart before the horse; it is inverting history.
History (even recent) is replete with Islamic, jahadist terror acts on small and large scales. The usual connotation of 'boogeyman' is that of a child's imagination, not real-life mass-murdering, criminal terrorists.

And, frankly, I'm more concerned about meeting evil spirits in my day-to-day affairs than I am about terrorism -- and I am an atheist and skeptic of the supernatural.
Back to this concept of reality/history. When's the last time an evil spirit flew a couple of planes into crowded high-rises, killing thousands in the process? There, my friend, is your boogeyman and inverted carriage.

I agree that there are Islamic terrorists, but a lot of America's fear is based in the imagination. Similarly, flames of paranoia were once fanned regarding anything even vaguely associated with Marxism. There must be a criminal terrorist under every rock.

And given the folly of what America's doing, I find our theater of battle little better than using slaves in arenas for amusement.

That depends on what you think of Islam, really. I think it's an evil religion, and plays a significant role in conflicts throught the world. But this is also true of Christianity and a bunch of other religions. If enough Christians join the US military, there will be no doubting any longer that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lord and King of Kings, as they'll blow such doubts to smithereens. Still, even though I'm an atheist and a substantial number of Christians are war-hawks, I don't think they're all to get me. Similarly, I'm sure most Muslims emigrated here as guest workers, not as terrorists. Were that not the case, the predominantly Christian United States would be in a considerably worse position at present. In other words, it's still impractical to consider terrorism a constant danger. Of course, the US is doing its damndest to make that be the case, so maybe that will change.

The Mystery of Barack Obama Continues

Yes, the Barack Obama euphoria has ended!

Here is an example of the type of websites that are springing up across the worldwide Internet.

Many questions with few answers, and the press is only now beginning to question Obama's actual credentials and capabilities.

I am far less than a fan of Obama, but I'll tell you want is sad about this bumpkin. After he is gone it will be harder than hell for another African American to become elected.

I can hear people now; "Oh no, not another one of those". Obama is such a terrible president that other people who look like him will generate negative feelings about them that are no fault of themselves. So it's sad, because I believe that there are many black Americans out there who would/could be great presidents.

Obama is destroying our economy, damaging our way of life and weakening our presence abroad. What a crying shame.

Yes, because Bush did so much for our foreign relations, economy and 'way of life'...

The CCCP keeps telling us how bad democratic presidents are but they always seem to get stuck with the repub mess. Carters admin was no where near the troubled and worthless presidency that the righties keep shoveling but the Party of Pete and Repeat just say these things over and over while rewriting the history of their own failed presidency. I have to admit that righties are certainly better at spin than democrats.

Yes, especially Deadeye's "weakening our presence abroad".
I mean, it's a free country. If Deadeye wants to say that black is white and white is black, hell it's his right.

And after eight years of Bush, culminating in all those bank failures, "destroying our economy" is pretty funny too.

The US is dead, it's just too dumb to lie down.

No need to remind me, do you know how that bubble got started?

Likely wasn't under Reagan or Bush, considering they both predate the popularization of the internet.

7 Stories Barack Obama Doesn't Want Told

There are only three reasons Barack Obama was elected President of the United States :

#1. He had the best campaign handlers and storytellers..

#2. He was not George W. Bush or a member of the Republican Party! --- And . . . .

#3. His speeches were eloquent and moved like the wind.
