But he's popular only with liberals. Conservatives fear the man, as well they should. Obama was elected by the support of Independents. They no longer support him, largely. Now B.O. says he wants to be a one term president. Well, he has no choice. I think he hates getting up in the morniongs. I believe he knows he's in well over his head and he doesn't like it.
I believe you're talking out your ass. To clarify: How the hell can you possibly think he 'hates getting up in the morniongs'? God, people like you make me support the Democrats.. and I don't even agree with most of their policies.

GOP eyes Kennedy's seat -- the other Kennedy, in Rhode Island

The end of the Kennedy legacy in Congress?

Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., appears to be in trouble.

If this poll is correct, then Democrats are in much more trouble than anyone realizes...

As went Ted, so went the Kennedy mystic. Dedicated liberalism is falling from favor in this nation. Americans have finally figured out that liberalism and socialism is an economic dead end.

Thought this was amusing:

Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth -nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading

There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: "Miss Me Yet?" Now, the push is on to find out who paid to have it put up.

Then there was this one:

An unnamed company has paid for a billboard along Highway 41 in Oshkosh that reads, "Impeach Obama."

The tagline says: "America's small businesses are failing; help us spread the message."

It was paid for by an unnamed company represented by Tom Wroblewski who told the AP the sentiment is that Washington politics are bad for small businesses.

This ignorant thread is still up and running? What a complete joke.

Anybody that thinks Obama's election was euphoric has to be to on some other planet.

No other president has been elected into such a large deficit before. Two wars with no end in sight and a divided country.

The only euphoria that was televised by the media was the fact that he was the first black president. And yeah...that ended like the day after he was elected.

rmnunez, what is your point? You just wasted a post by not simply responding to what I said. Yeah that was a politicians witty catch line while campaigning.

Ah, folks; Obama is supposed to fix problems. He's not doing it. He's not up to the task and anyone who voted for him should be spanked.

Ah, oh, the deficeit the next president inherits from Obama will be about ten times the one that Obama inherited from Bush. He inherited one war that was won and another that is tricky, but spending four months trying to decide what to do didn't help did it.

Umm, I've worked all of my adult life and even worked baby-sitting and for a small, family owned business from the time I was in about 7th grade. I have given the fruits of my labor for those less fortunate than me all of my "tax paying life" and it doesn't piss me off or make me feel robbed or make me feel like some ne'er-do-well is taking advantage of me. So, there are at least 3 types of people out there, for I am neither unproductive nor jealously guarding the "fruits of my labor". I would also submit that there is at least a 4th kind of person; the kind who thinks that the people who work for them are little more than monkeys, who can be cast off with no real concern because it is more important that they have a cool car in their driveway than it is that the person who toiled for them with little or no thanks be able to pay rent.

The world is a little more complicated than you would like to think.

First off, wash your mouth out with soap.

Secondly I don't know that Obama hates to face the day each morning, but I'd not be surprised if that is how he feels. He's beginning to understand that he's over his head. I think he feels frustration that the job is harder than he thought it was. Nor do I think he likes not getting his own way all of the time. Nor do I think he trusts the public.

When Obama said that he'd like to be a "good one term president" I think he was also thing that he'd like his time in the White House to hurry up and end.

If Obama had said on day one: "I'm going to hunt down an kill all Taliban people where ever they go, they will learn to fear me, and they cannot win in a conflict with the United States." If he'd said that we might have won by now. Obama showed the white feather, and today the Taliban think they are winning. Just like the NVA did in Vietnam and for the same reason.

No you haven't. You've only been satisfying your culturally-ingrained, but govt-perverted judeo-christian worldview about humanitarianism.
You've actually aggrandized an illegitimate, self-serving, corrupt, condescending and counterproductive elitist ruling class.

those less fortunate than me
Whose childrens' and future generations' suffering has been exponentially extended and magnified and cemented by artificially cultivating an ignorant, dependency underclass in exchange for their vote for their "community organizers"

for I am neither unproductive nor jealously guarding the "fruits of my labor".
But evidently need to be forced by tax policies to ostensibly "do good" in the world, and gain some kind of emotional gratification from proclaiming your perceived "goodness" and enjoy pontificating and forcing others to participate in unjust, illegitimate and failed systems their own humanitarian convictions cause them to reject

I do think Obama's election induced a sort of euphoria, people who voted for him really thought he represented hope and would radically change things, he promised transperancy, an end to the partisan politics that prevailed in Washington said he'd line-item veto to erradicate porkbarrel spending, promised to close Guantanamo, to deal with friend and foe without preconditions, to deal with everyone as an equal, he was expected to usher in a new era with a foreign policy that heeded the interests of allies and treated everyone with dignity, he was going to promote good jobs, end the erosion of wages, tax fairly, make environmental protection a priority, help the disenfranchised, immigrants, minorities and the poor, his was to be an inclusive government and he'd do away with the chronic lobbying for special interests. People around the world were euphoric, his image and the hope/change banner were everywhere, he even was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace.

People are understandably disappointed.

The problem of course, is not with how you run your business, but with the fact that people no longer have the money to buy your product.

I'm also sure that you understand that if you have to borrow money to make your payroll that you are screwed. Obama the Wize-less doesn't understand this very real fact. He's way, way over his head.

I think that you articulated the hope that people felt well. The man still would love to do well and he'd love to be popular, don't we all?

Trouble he is out of his element and he really doesn't understand what makes most Americans tick.

History is digging a pit to throw Obama's presidency into. It is sad. I feel sorry for him, but I also fear him.
