bush's 'new vision'

Bush recently promised to put in place in america 4 things: a strong education system, a good economy, peace and prosperity, and affordable healthcare.

What do you think of his plans?

Why is he making promises to do these things next term? He's had 4 years to do them and has accomplished zero. The democrats have hurt this country badly by nominating someone that is even worse than Bush. Both of these candidates have shit dribble down their chins every time they speak.

He hasn't got a single policy, he has multiple policies. He has no integrity, he lies, and he'll say anything that he thinks will get him a vote. Couple this total lack of character with the traditional hand-out policies of the democratic party, and you'll get someone worse than even Bush. Just my personal opinion, of course. Do you really think Kerry would make a good president? Why?

Dunno, Tech. I don't know WHAT Kerry's policy is on much of anything. All I see are vague generalizations. If this election is, as they said about Al Gore, HIS to lose, the Democrats need to get this guy's head out of his ass.

I don't like him, but I want him to win (sad, isnt it?). So far, the man has been a disappointment, especially when Bush has become such an easy target.

i think kerry will be a better president than bush because kerry's economic plan is sound, kerry's plan for healthcare isn't bush's "start saving a nest egg", kerry also probably won't start us into war if we don't have to go, unlike bush.

i don't really like 'presidency'. the whole office is a bit pathetic and wasteful.

Who says he'll change his plans? Right now all he needs to do is TALK and MAKE PROMISES about changing things.

I think Kerry outlined was to reduce the impact of outsourcing, and vowed to wipe out the tax loope holes where a company can avoid paying taxes by setting up a headquaters off shore.

Kerry has a different plan for post war Iraq, which would involve working with the U.N. and the international community to help him clean up the mess President Bush made over there. Kerry would give more attention to Afganistan reconstruction and for tracking down Bin Laden and what is left of his network while downzing the attention given Iraq, or attacking Iran, etc. Also that would support our troops better because of the additional help generated (again) internationally and because they would know they are really attacking terrorism to protect us and not some imaginary targets or for the pocket books of Halliburtan.

Kerry would reconstruct the tax refund system and raise the amount of taxes paid by those "wealthy few".

Kerry would restore all the envirnomental protection laws that Bush destroyed or that Bush had overturned. Kerry would take a pratical look at resolving global warming and acting on the facts we now know about that problem.

We would not have to put up with four years hearing about the impeachment of GWB if Kerry is elected. That alone would make investors feel more confident about the future of American econonics.

Kerry would insure that the money assigned by Congress for homeland security would be used properly instead of giving it all to Halliburtan.

Kerry would restore the clear cut seperation of politics and religion by leaving morality in the hands of religion where it belongs and leaving the consitution in the hands of the people, where it belongs.

Kerry would make a better Commander and Chief because he has a much better record in the military and a better record for understanding the ideas of organizations for peace and "conducting wars in conformity with international policy, relative to human rights".

No matter who is helping out in Iraq it will not get better. These terrorist/freedom fighters(depending on who you are) don't care who is in charge, they just want them out and want to take over for their own regime. Reconstruction of Afghanistan should be a major issue and I'm sad it doesn't get more attention. Also I have heard that the U.S. is in the exact same position the U.S.S.R. was in when they envaded. Scary if true.

All great ideas in my opion but he needs to do a better job of getting these issues on television.

Something I'd like to see, because a strong U.S. economy means a strong Canadian economy.

Although I agree with gay marriage.. leaving the constituion in the hands of the people where it belongs.. unless the courts but in right?

I think he would simply be better for that position because in my opinion he would be inclinded to listen to more people and not just have his mind made up from the get go.



However some things do scare me about Kerry.
1) stopping all shipments of Toronto's garbage to Michigan(although a bad plan by T.O. it helps us at the moment)
2) not opening the boarding to Canadian cattle. Granted Bush hasn't either, from an off beat article I read and haven't had time to look up on more Kerry said plain and simple he wouldn't open the boarder(which is completely beyond me.


The best reason for putting Kerry in office... Keeping Hilary out of office in 2008 and hoping that by 2012 she will be passed her prime and the media will have caught on to any number of stupid things she has said.
