WASHINGTON - The Navy's chief investigator concluded Friday that procedures were followed properly in the approval of Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites)'s Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals, according to an internal Navy memo.

I think this is going to happen a lot more in the coming weeks, where ANY little story will be released, regardless of the truth, so some reporter can get his "scoop". Or, more DIS-information will be snuck into the media by Bush and Kerry supporters just to fire people up, which is more likely. Considering how the news works, where the murder accusation gets front page and the report of the aquittal is at the bottom of page 87, it is far too easy to stir things up. The people only remember the headline, and if the campaign gets any nastier we may start to see "stories" like George Bush is actually a Muslim spy and Kerry had sex with monkeys in Vietnam!

Although I have to admit I'm sorry you "debunked" the story so quickly. I was eagerly awaiting the inevitable "AHA! SEE, I TOLD you so!" from some of our friends here. :)
