| Playful Location: Groningen, the Netherlands Posts: 805 | What an amazingly sensible comments. I don't hate either.. I "'disagree with" and "I don't like" many things about the bush administration. If I hate anything, it is the redneck rhetorics.. damn the rhetorics. Courage is being humble and taking in consideration the ideas of others and respecting their view. Courage is being able to look back at things which you have done and think: maybe I was wrong, what can I do to make it better. Courage is being able to accept that you are not the worlds 'best' or 'greatest' and that maybe others are 'as good' or 'different' and respecting them for it. Humbleness is a sign of a great man. |

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | The reason I put up this poll was to find out if hate is the main motivating factor among voters, because so many were saying people vote for Kerry because they hate Bush. So wanted to find out if this is true or false. I added policy because "we shall know them by their words" and eather way that is what you got as the next possible President. I doubt if will change much policy to become better liked. With 14 votes now tabulated on this "touch machine" things are close, neck to neck. Sort of like all those other polls about who is ahead of whom. Speedobomb wins by a nose. (that one was for you old Spike Jones fans). Technosoul. |

| It's simply logical Location: San Diego Posts: 4,333 | Obviously many disagree, but with the Florida vote as microscopically close as it was, I never had a problem with either Bush or Gore fighting as hard as they could with every legal means at their disposal to win the outcome. I'd expect nothing less from the future President of the United States. And while disappointed at the outcome, if figured that a man who had grown up at the feet of a Congressman, Director of the CIA, US Ambassador to the UN, Vice President of the US and finally President HAD to have learned something about governing and America's place in the world... and he certainly SOUNDED reasonably moderate. Alas, not only has he turned out to be possibly the most conservative, reactionary President in modern times, he's pig-headedly gone against the expressed advice of his own military and intellegence communities to launch an unprovoked war of aggression and an occupation that we cannot afford to lose and which it now appears - as was warned - we cannot win. If I don't hate the man, it's something damn close to it. I don't suffer from insanity... I thoroughly enjoy it |

So I should have left out the policy part or made it seperate. No doubt if Bush was not President and if we did not talk politics and we happened to meet somewhere out fishing, or at some social gathering, we would get along just fine and even be friends. There is a lot more to a person then just their politics or philosophy. But no matter, I still wanted to find out if people hate Bush and/or his policy and if that would amount to enough people to give Kerry and his policy the vote (by those who vote for the less of two evils) sort of thing. I should have wrote the poll to read "Would you vote for Kerry just because you hate Bush". And then I would have attained the data I was seeking, now I am not sure if the poll proves anything? Technosoul. | |
