I believe that to actually be a myth...the people doing the interrogations were highly successful in acquiring information that saved many lives..
I'm not surprised...there are always going to be be people that criticize everything that's done..
Well, a beating is a beating...that's not really torture.. also, I don't know any of the specifics as to who was involved their...did "we" knee an al qeada member to death? Sorry, but if that's the case, then I'm just not going to feel that bad for him..

Yeah, so? You may not have liked it, and it may have been weak, but there was still a case to be made. International law is still law, even when we simply choose to ignore it.Quote by: Dieval
And a vastly stronger case for impeachment, although in this country we only impeach our Presidents for really serious offenses... like lying under oath about a casual affair.

Well, at least we agree that it's a silly notion..
But is there really? I'm rather skeptical, at best.
Well, lets see, you have a President that flat out lied to the world while under oath and another President who people THINK lied, but have no proof what-so-ever....you do the math.

Obama is not a war criminal. You're thinking George Bush, who wasn't a war criminal either.

As always, everyone's fighting the last war. I've never really accused Bush of lying - he very seldom actually 'lied' about anything. I've always said we should impeach him for Gross Criminal NegligenceQuote by: Dieval
So YOU do the math. George Bush intentionally mislead Americans into supporting a negligently reckless, ill-conceived, ill-planned fiasco, against the advice of both his combined intelligence services and his senior military, for clearly stated reasons that proved not to exist, that cost us the lives of over 4,000 American troops, 10 times that many maimed and injured, who knows how many dead American contractors, 100s of thousands of dead Iraqis, at a cost of $9 billion a month, turned a record surplus into a record deficit, alienated America from the world, left our once undisputed world leadership in tatters, and divided and discouraged our people.
Versus Bill Clinton, who lied about a casual affair. Exactly how does your math possibly find Clinton the bigger villain here???

It hasn't???? On what planet? So what... you know where all those Iraqi WMD are?Quote by: Dieval
You seem to be putting a great deal of stake in the 'technicality' that Clinton lied while under oath. Trust me, Gross Criminal Negligence is also a felony, and far, far worse.
