First of all, according to most information on torture it is a highly ineffective means of getting reliable information.

I believe that to actually be a myth...the people doing the interrogations were highly successful in acquiring information that saved many lives..

Additionally, the method the detainees were selected is subject to criticism as well.

I'm not surprised...there are always going to be be people that criticize everything that's done..

And lastly, they beat at least one man to death thats been reported. So people are dieing in there, as well. They are also being severely beaten, usually kneed.

Well, a beating is a beating...that's not really torture.. also, I don't know any of the specifics as to who was involved their...did "we" knee an al qeada member to death? Sorry, but if that's the case, then I'm just not going to feel that bad for him..

As always, everyone's fighting the last war. I've never really accused Bush of lying - he very seldom actually 'lied' about anything. I've always said we should impeach him for Gross Criminal Negligence

George Bush intentionally mislead Americans into supporting a negligently reckless, ill-conceived, ill-planned fiasco, against the advice of both his combined intelligence services and his senior military, for clearly stated reasons that proved not to exist, that cost us the lives of over 4,000 American troops, 10 times that many maimed and injured, who knows how many dead American contractors, 100s of thousands of dead Iraqis, at a cost of $9 billion a month, turned a record surplus into a record deficit, alienated America from the world, left our once undisputed world leadership in tatters, and divided and discouraged our people.
