(March 16, 2009) – Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) Friday sent a letter to Chairman Edolphus Towns of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee requesting an immediate investigation into allegations made by the investigative reporter Seymour Hersh that the White House operated an ‘executive assassination ring’ that circumvented Congressional oversight. He stated, ‘Under President Bush’s authority, they’ve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them and leaving… It is a special wing of our special operations community that is set up independently. They do not report to anybody, except in the Bush-Cheney days, they reported directly to the Cheney office. . .Congress has no oversight of it.’”[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

This wouldn't suprise me..... but if it is true.... why the heck didn't they send these fancy guys off to kill Osama in the first place and avoid a drawn out war?

Quite honestly I haven't trusted anything positive or negative that comes out from the US government in many years....... I just can't hold any trust in anything said because of so many lies already proven.

Either way, it'd be nice to see a group of US lawyers collect all of the evidence available of criminal/global wrong-doings Bush and Cheney have commited over the years and nail their testicles to the wall sideways.

Maybe it was something a little more deeper then that.

Maybe they were knocking off celebrities, people on the internet with big opinions, family members of other politicians to keep their mouths shut, pressure Tony Blair into going to Iraq.

In theory, our technology and culture is such that (from the highest offices) a politically motivated assassination within the Western world is indiscernible from an accidental death, so there is no way of getting a bearing on how common they are, or even if they exist at all -- it is one of those genuinely unverifiable mysteries. However, I don't believe assassination is very common. For political purposes, defamation of character and other rhetorical tricks are just as effective.

Now, outside the Western world, even if politically motivated by Western authorities, it is a very different story -- no matter who is involved, things are much more obvious there.
