| Molten Ash Location: Canada Posts: 55 | Well, when most people see death they see something repulsive, they're supposed to be against it, etc. I simply see the ending of a human life, and that's it... no judgements on it passed. There's no societal encumbrance when I see things, or read about things anymore. |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 372 | It's not societal encumbrance all the time. For the mainstream variety of death shown in the media, it's the reminder of the person's own mortality that they are repulsed/attracted with. I hope you're not interchanging social encumbrance with compassion. Compassion is self generated and helps you understand your place among your surroundings better. Being told or supposed to think a tragic event is sad or horrible is not compassion. It has to be genuine. And I don't think it's a sign of weakness. It's hard to accept pain and the expectation of it is even worse. Compassion is another way to confront the fear of death and also a way accept some of those emotions you keep locked up. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups |

| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 13 | when i was in high school, me and some friends skipped school to break into one of the guy's dad's home office. Does that make sense? Anyhoosle, we broke in because well... we were curious, he always kept it deabolted. So, we got in and found MONDO PORN. Everywhere and real highschool guys dream. We also found several FOD videos. I made it through the first 15 minutes then i couldn't take it anymore. I'm not disturbed at the graphic scenes, i think it's beacause of seeing the human sufferage. That was 12 years ago and i still remember the things i saw. And yeah i have also seen a few, real life fatal accidents... its not fun |

Personally I believe its sometimes good to have this stuff on video to see what we as people are of doing. A man has two reasons for doing anything --- a good reason and the real reason. Let us be thankful for the fools. But for them the rest of us could not succeed In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

| Sedimentary Rock Location: Glawwwsta, UK Posts: 9 | Sometimes people watch this stuff because ITS REAL. Its not someone trying to sell you a car by using a model with thin legs and blue lips. Its not The Sun newspaper telling you to start a celebrity diet, and avoid fruit and potatoes. Its not sitting in an office unable to complete the simplest of tasks due to illogical procedures. ITS REAL LIFE. I am damn sure a lot of people are maybe feeling down, because they had, for example, a broken head gasket or an cd player laser failure. MY GOD, they are not going to give a flying fuck about any of that shit after realising what CAN happen to you, as a human. o the things that people say you cannot: |
