Ted Kennedy's name wasn't on the list.

Oh, it's really too bad, isn't it?

Are you going to substantiate your claim or are we supposed to just give up and register as Repubs, and find a new hobby?

Go find an article about it. Ted Kennedy's name wasn't on the list, his name was similar to one already on the list. He was being mistaken for someone else. Sorry, no police state here.
I need to stop taking you peoples' words for this stuff.
Its a verifiable fact.

Each time, a supervisor recognized Kennedy and got him on the flight. But after the third incident, Kennedy’s staff called the Transportation Security Administration and asked to clear up the confusion.

That agency said a name similar to Kennedy’s was on the watch list. The agency also said that the airlines did not handle the matter properly.

Okay, I give up, the site had the article linked to, but it was too old so the link was broken, though the quote was still there.

CBS news still agrees, though, that Kennedy wasn't on a no-fly list.

So does MSNBC

Between March 1 and April 6 airline agents tried to block Senator Kennedy from boarding aircraft five times because his name resembled an alias used by a suspected terrorist who had been barred from flying on airlines in the United States.
We all already knew that. That doesnt change anything

It was in the topic starter quote.

You gotta stop skimmin' and use the noodle, Comrade.

Nonetheless, the authorities kept on messing with a prominent opposition Senator. Think they would have made the same mistake five times with Frist or Hastert? heh

Well, if that's all you got, then I'm not too worried.
The No-Fly list is just more bureaucracy. We all know how those work. It probably DID take a while for all the different airports to get their lists updated.

Oh, by the way, airport security is not the "authorities"

What's that quote? Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity?

Well, comrade, why don't you tell them to shove it the next time they pull you out of line for a shakedown?

Okay, looks like we missed the point. Airport security is not the government's authorities. I didn't say they didn't have authority. They're privatley owned (by the airline or airport, usually) security services. There ARE cops around, but still, Ted Kennedy wasn't the intended target of the list, so this arguement is moot.

Anything to say the rest of my posts?

I am not sure how some people will feel secure, by these goons ordering them to remove their pants in front of all the other passengers
