There are good and bad sides to this story. The good side is that someone was actually observant enough to report something "suspicious", and a probable pipe bomb was properly taken care of. It turned out to be nothing. That's also the bad side. The busiest part of the freeway was closed most of the morning, people late for work, wasted gas on idle cars, etc...

I know this isn't possible, but it would be interesting to calculate how much "lost labor/resources" there were, due to a random weight filled with sand. I wonder what would happen with an empty cardboard box labeled "Bomb" on it would do.

I think I'll have the FBI come "interview" ya about that statement, Compugasm. See, talkin' about bombs is suspicious behavior. I hope they don't hafta sieze yer computer...
