That makes it important to me. If Kerry were to win, but never released his records about this whole sorid affair, I would get out of the Navy, period. I won't serve under a man I could not trust.

I served under Clinton so do start about him Being a democrat.

I wonder what they did to blackmail Elliot into a retraction? How much it will cost him to defend his statements? Look what happens when someone speaks out. Kerry certainly has deep enough pockets. Now the story will be that all these guys were somehow coerced to lie.

Notice he's not challenging the accounts of witnesses so much as regretting that he signed an affadavit. The average non-political American will not know whom to believe. Govt wants it that way, so you run to them for help, and who better to lead us out of darkness than a decorated veteran.

The Kerry Campaign has continued its effort to prevent our voice from being heard. You were presented with an article from Kerry's hometown newspaper, The Boston Globe, written by Michael Kranish, Kerry's biographer, claiming that Captain Elliott had withdrawn his affidavit and disavowed the ad. This is totally false.

Enclosed is Captain Elliott's affidavit executed this morning after the false Globe story.

Captain Elliott affirms his original affidavit; affirms his ad statement; and adds additional detail. In the ad, Captain Elliott says that Kerry was not honest about his service in Vietnam. This is indisputably true.

The use of a surprise false article to strike pending ads represents a new low in ambush journalism.
