| Hot Lava Location: Spokane, WA Posts: 782 | While reading the ABC's of Communist Anarchism for yet another time, I came across a quote, whose words ring true today. "In the name of patriotism you are ordered to stop being decent and honest, to cease being yourself, to suspend your own judgment, and give up your life; to become a will-less cog in a murderous machine, blindly obeying the order to kill, pillage, and destroy; to give up your father and mother, wife and child, and all that you love, and proceed to slaughter your fellow-men who never did you any harm - who are just as unfortunate and deluded victims of their masters as you are of yours." |

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill |

| Hot Lava Posts: 1,859 | G no, the left wants to monopolize all the necessary resources for themselves by stealing it from those who own it and slaughtering anyone who doesn't share the communist view in an act of perpetual revolution against human nature... and you don't want to tell people how to live? forced communalism is forced... viva la revolution! ![]() Fyrdman Location: Middlesbrough UK Posts: 4,161 | Ah yes, I forgot that we on the left what the wise impenitent tells us we want. The left wants means of resources to be taken from the owners, you call it stealing, I call it taking back what has already been stolen. We don't want to kill all those who disagree with us, just like capitalists don't want to kill all communists. But like communists have to just get on with living in capitalism, capitalists will just have to deal with living under communism. | Hot Lava Posts: 1,859 | exactly! now you see the light! all you get with communism is the killing game... everyone killing everyone else and stealing from those they can... that is the beauty of humanity... vicious circle eh? ![]() Fyrdman Location: Middlesbrough UK Posts: 4,161 | If communism results in this killing game, then it is no different than capitalism, because the poverty it causes results in either starvation or civil war. So what are you objecting to? Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill |

| Hot Lava Posts: 1,859 | it is far worse and it is far different than capitalism... in capitalism, you can rejoice in your natural human greed... in communism you are a slave to the herd denying your humanity... ![]() Fyrdman Location: Middlesbrough UK Posts: 4,161 | If greed is part of my humanity, then capitalism is crushing my humanity through laws. I should be allowed to take property if I am strong enough if greed is natural. And if enough of us are strong and communist, then we are in accordance to take that property and redistribute as we see fit, which would be equally. | Hot Lava Posts: 1,859 | bravo! you are allowed to try... but we are allowed to resist... and resist we will... Jello comes to mind: "Rioting - the unbeatable high Adrenaline shoots your nerves to the sky Everyone knows this town is gonna blow And it's all gonna blow right now... Now you can smash all the windows that you want All you need are some friends and a rock Throwing a brick never felt so damn good Smash some more glass Scream with a laugh And wallow with the crowd Watch them kicking peoples' ass But you get to the place Where the real slavedrivers live It's walled off by the riot squad Aiming guns right at your head So you turn right around And play right into their hands And set your own neighborhood Burning to the ground instead (chorus) Riot - the unbeatable high Riot - shoots your nerves to the sky Riot - playing into their hands Tomorrow you're homeless Tonight it's a blast Get your kicks in quick They're callin' the National Guard Now could be your only chance To torch a police car Climb the roof, kick the siren in And jump and yelp for joy Quickly - dive back in the crowd Slip away, now don't get caught Let's loot the spiffy Hi-Fi Store Grab as much as you can hold Pray your arms won't fall off Here comes the owner with a gun (chorus) The barricades spring up from nowhere Cops in helmets line the lines Shotguns prod into your bellies The trigger fingers want an excuse Now The raging mob has lost its nerve There's more of us but who goes first No one dares to cross the line The cops know that they've won It's all over but not quite The pigs have just begun to fight They club your heads, kick your teeth Police can riot all they please (chorus) Tomorrow you're homeless Tonight it's a blast" "I really like this jacket, but the sleeves are much too long..." insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results... |

| Molten Ash Posts: 68 | ok, I'm confused as to how the conversation turned... Going back to communism vs. capitolism(a seemingly predominant fight here at Volvocon): I propose a compromise. Compromises always work, if you find the right one... don't go to extremes. Here's my solution. Take the general build of capitolism. From there, you institute a wage cap, similar to some professional sports. Should one person exeed ownership of $X in property and investments(and just plain cash), they must pay the remainder to the government, who allocates these funds to rebuilding impoverished areas. That dollar ammount will be reasonable, so you know... but when you think about it, there's around a $40 billion difference between the richest person in America and the 10th richest... is there really anything one can do that the other can't? Wouldn't $40 billion go a LONG way in creating new jobs for people who need them? In the long run, wouldn't that only be good? OK, I gotta go now... just wanted to get that in... the end's kinda rushed... ok, gone now! |
