God bless the embargo. . . . whenever any government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundations on such principles and organizing its powers in such forms as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. |

Both systems have plus' and minus' - the issue mainly comes down to which set of plus' you feel outweighs the minus'. "That is a Secret." -Xellos |

Comparing Times Square with a steel mill ain't exactly the best of material. Frankly, the poor look rather the same in each situation. . . . whenever any government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundations on such principles and organizing its powers in such forms as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. |

Taking a picture of a palace in France and Mexico hardly tells me what’s going on in such contrasting countries. Just a thought. So it goes |

| Igneous Magma Location: New York City Posts: 739 | Well, that's not what good ol' Castille wanted, but hey - what are statistics when they get in the way of what he wants to show? So what if a heavily sanctioned economically-struggling Communist country is doing better to educate its citizens than us? So what if the entire Northeast of the United States went out of power because of privatization and lack of regulation and maintenance? So what if the majority of people living in the richest city in the world reside in apartment buildings that are old and crumbling? Marx was right - the working class has more in common with its counterparts in foreign nations than the upper classes of its own peoples. . . . whenever any government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new government, laying its foundations on such principles and organizing its powers in such forms as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. |

You can't exactly show a photo of Castro in his beautiful palace smoking a cigar while the Cuban mases attempt to flee to America....that wouldn't be a true representation of Communism. Even in the US, the poorest workers aren't trying to flee to Cuba.... Want some worded facts: Thousands of Cubans swimming to Florida... Thousands of North Koreans attempting to sneak to China, South Korea, and Japan.... Thousands of East German Communists fleeing to capitalist West Germany.... Ideological loyalty is the act of giving your soul to a vague concept, to be manipulated by people smarter than you. |
