Here's what the Massachusetts Democrat said July 8 when Larry King asked where he was on 9/11, according to CNN's own transcript:

'Nobody Could Think'

"I was in the Capitol. We'd just had a meeting - we'd just come into a leadership meeting in Tom Daschle's office, looking out at the Capitol. And as I came in, Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon. And then word came from the White House, they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate, and so we immediately began the evacuation."

How appropriate that Kerry lumps himself in with fellow leftist do-nothing non-thinkers such as Boxer, Daschle and Reid.

Thanks to the several readers today who sent us this fascinating bit from Blog for Bush: "the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing 'nobody could think.'"

The man is his own worst enemy... he talks a great game, untill you realize, thats all he is. He made a nasty jab at Bush, sounds great, I give his speech writters props, its a good line. Sadly for them, wasted on a man who also said "we realized no one could think."

Does he expect the American People to think that he will magically become something more, if elected President??

Come on.
The senator must have really hit you where it hurts. Your reaction is right out of the right wing playbook entitled slash and smear. At least Kerry used decent English.

The comparison must be made where Bush had command responsibility in a combat situation and Kerry had command responsbility in a combat situation. Kerry, under enemy fire, turned his boat around immediately and rescued his fellow crewmate. Bush, not under fire, sat listening to children's stories.

It is quite different for a Senator, who has no command responsibility, to sit and ponder, when there is nothing else he could do, and even let the sense of tragedy come over him to a point where he "could not think" as opposed to a President, upon whom the entire nation is waiting, sitting and listening to children's stories while he should have been taking command.

There, I made my points without calling anyone a name.

One thing that film clip did not show us is the words used by the person who spoke to President Bush at that school reading. Were those made public and what did the guy say to GWB.

Did he say "a plane flew into the world trade center".

Did he say "Geroge, our nation is under attack by terrorists".

Did he say "George when you get a break you need to come look at what they are showing on CNN about some planes crashing in New York City".

Did he say "George the sky is falling, chicken little was right".

Did he say "Your secret CIA plan has been activated, better come and look concerned".

(okay, strike the last two as very unlikely) but as far as the other lines that could have been said you can see that his reaction would have been different for each version.

Without knowing absolutly for sure how he was informed, the tone, the wording used. You cannot judge how his reaction should have been.

Technosoul.

Tech - It was Andrew Card, and He leaned in while the Children were reading and in His own words said, "A second plane has hit the second tower, we're under attack" Now Card may of thrown a Sr in either at the start or end of that brief description, but Bush Knew that a Plane had hit the first tower before he sat down for his photo op with Poor inner city children whom he's later cut funding to. When told of the first hit, Bush remarked, "Must of been one Bad pilot". Later Bush says, "I was sitting outside the classroom and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was on. When we walked into the classroom, I had seen this plane fly into the first building."

That comes from...

8:46 AM: Bush later states, "I was sitting outside the classroom and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was on.” [CNN, 12/4/01] “When we walked into the classroom, I had seen this plane fly into the first building.” [White House, 1/5/02] [There was no live coverage of the first crash on TV.]

That last part is True, it wasn't until Much later in the day that We had Video footag of the First plane hitting...Bush - One Bad Pilot!

Now V would say, "Youngs back to using that www.wanttoknow.info site again and how can you take that seriously they have links to mind control on that site."

V - How many Germans were evil Jew haters, and how many were under Media and leader induced "Mind control"?

If in 3 Years We found evidence that could show everyone how 9/11 was allowed to happen and was covered up.....would the Whitehouse & Media not be party to "Mind Control"? Isn't that what thats called?

And attacking Bush for a grammar mistake is weak.

So he misspoke, what's your point?

How do you know that the TV wasn't replaying footage from earlier?

It hadn't happened yet! The first plane footage wasn't discovered until around 4 or 5 that afternoon, and the second plane didn't hit until Bush was sitting with the children...we've been trying to explain this to you forever....They planned it and helped make sure it happened and it helped them achieve their Goals. Go to Sleep....telling you to wake up isn't working maybe that will.

Really? I recall watching footage of the first plane hitting the towers on my favorite propoganda news service less than thirty minutes after the second plane hit.

And I'm not going to Wake Up™ on the wishes of condescension.

Young, for all his smarts, and his passion, sees only that which he chooses to see.

He connects dots only he can see.

I like young, really I do, but he lacks skeptisism in his rush to condemn Bush.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

look at it this way. at least kerry has people who can remember him serving
Actually, he came out and slammed the Boston Globe for all of that, saying thats not what he said or meant.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Boston Globe misreported, yeah. Someone else did the same thing to Nancy Reagan about her support for Bush.

Nancy always supported Bush, and someone misreported that she did not. That was what I was talking about.

His top supporter? There are levels to support? You either support or you don't, stop trying to raise the bar.

Supposition on your part, from what I have read. Others have posted what was said and it doesn't seem to go with your point.
And what grammer mistake did I "Attack" bush for?

Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots.
