Also a defendant is a snack called Sringles (I think it is a potato chip?). But most alarming among them listed as harmful to our health is Cheerios. According to the lawyers each of these products violate federal law. I got this on the radio and so have no other links or places to tell you about where you can go to get this information. So this report is based on my hear-say only. They add this chemical that is known to cause cancer in doeses above federal limits. Forgot name of that chemical. The federal regulation allows only so much to be in drinking water per glass. These products contain three times the amount as what is allowed in the drinking water, when measured out properly. By now most people understand that fast food are not the most healthy things you can eat. But my surprise was Cheeios because it is promoted as a health food because oats are lower the risks of a heart attack. The only thing debatable about this story is as follows. Should lawyers be allowed to bring class action suits if a company is making a product that is know under state or federal regulations to be a health hazard for some people? (They get to pocket some of the cash if they win the case). Or, should they not just ask the government to enforce the written laws? And IS the government really getting the job done trying too regulate everyone with limited budgets and manpower resources. Should the government get bigger in that area or should we just let lawyers have a field day with this problem. Or should we have no regulations and let food producers feed us any kind of crap they want? Or - some other idea? Technosoul. |

Dr Pepper has ethyl glycol (radiator fluid)... Even raw vegetables have sprays and wax coatings. If you ate cheerios 3 meals a day for years, you'd probably be in bad health. But, would that be the result of the chemicals, or the fact you've eaten nothing but cheerios for years? I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water. |

Worse yet, if you eat something and turn into a two head frog with five legs - then get three lawyers. I think as long a product lists what they put into it then you have the right to eat whatever you darn well please. If a product does not list a harmful substance then that might be unlawful (Ketchup bottles list salt as being inside it's content). It is so much what we eat that makes us sick but what we express from our attitudes. (Biblical suggestion). I once had this test done that indicated that I had once suffered form a heart attack. The doctor gave me a big speech about the dangers of smoking and so I said "Gee, can you put that in writting so I can sue the tobacco companies". Right away he backed off and said that he had no proof absolutly that would hold up in a court of law". They do not know anythng for sure - other then when it comes to eating rat poison. All this reminds me of a post in another forum that asked "is science becoming too powerful". Are our governmental law makers now being told what to do and what law to put into effect by those medidal research groups, is the medical establishment trying to become the new gods of our culture with a conparacy that they are the ones behind the war on unlawful drugs, etc. I am not sure. But I do know that our courts and our justice system is using medical and science data as some kind of absolute truth when determining the outcome of cases pursuant to the law. What about that trend we see happening? A doctor can even dictate that a President is no longer fit to be the President (if he wanted too and his dictation might go unquestioned). Lot of power behind the white smock. Whatcha think? Technosoul. |
