Alan Keyes criticized Hillary when she, a native Chicagoan then living in DC, ran for a NY senate seat. Will he, a resident of Maryland, say no and avoid being a hypocrite? And avoid a probable loss to Barack Obama

I like Alan Keyes but I wouldn't move anywhere to vote for a guy. I'm
still bitter about Hillary pulling that move; it was a campaign built on pure ambition. She didn't live in that area long enough to have a feeling for its constituency and I'm totally against the election laws that allow this to happen. You're right though, it's legal.

On a personal note, I went to the same high school as Hillary Clinton
and I can tell you from a community standpoint, many felt that she turned up her nose at her hometown.

I don't live back home anymore, I'm in Tucson now, so I can't honestly
describe the political climate in Illinois. I would say though that Obama has the momentum plus I haven't heard anything really negative about him. At the same time, Keyes is the kind of Repub that gets elected in Il; see former Gov. James Thompson. I'd bet on Obama though because of the Hillary factor; it's too fresh in their heads and they don't want to elect a midwest version of a carpetbagger.

I would've liked to see Mike Ditka debate. Circa 1980's Ditka with the sweater and frenetic gum chewing. I'd go to see that debate over a Bears game any day.

Obama is not getting beat in Illinois and the Illinois GOP knows it. If anything they're hoping the debating prowess of Alan Keyes will try to put a stop to what is a pretty wide career.
