| Molten Ash Posts: 114 | Roque: Bishop do you realize that if the government did not practice monetary policies to create unemployment and underemployment the economy would end in a runaway inflation? HINDERED YOU SAY? That if the government did not practice Supply Side policies to subsidize investments the economy would end a great depression! WHY SHOULD YOU CARE? DO WE HAVE A FREE MARKET ECONOMY OR A GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED ECONOMY! IS THIS ECONOMIC PROGRESS? |

if you wish to make a specific point, i'll respond to it - but i'm not about to lay down a full-blown economic model just for you to babble out the same lines again. for all your flappin, i don't even think you know where i stand. you probably think i think bush is a great guy - even though there isn't a chance in hell that he's getting my vote.

| Molten Ash Posts: 114 | Bishop: "who the hell are you calling an ignoramus???" DJR: You need to get new glasses--I'm quite sure I addressed my response to you! Are you ignorant about how to achieve effective demand and sustained growth? Answer the question I will not need to repeat it again. Or admit that you do not know!! Bishop: "i'm waiting for you to say something of substance rather than grandstanding and repeating the same favorite phrases over and over..." DJR: Just answer the question--do you know HOW WOULD YOU ACHIEVE EFFECTIVE DEMAND AND SUSTAINED GROWTH!!! Do you even understand the question, THAT IS WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO CREATE A GROWTH ECONOMY? Bishop: "i answered this by pointing out that the economy has been growing for DECADES. pretty goddamn sustained if you can get your head out of your seat." DJR: The economy has been growing for DECADES around three percent year after years; a far cry from creating a growth economy above nine percent yearly. Bishop: "if you wish to make a specific point, i'll respond to it - but i'm not about to lay down a full-blown economic model just for you to babble out the same lines again." DJR: Spare me; I'm quite sure you have no real knowledge of macroeconomics. I have repeatedly made a specific point that you continue to ignore. You do not know how to achieve effective demand and sustained growth--get off your ego and admit it! Bishop: "for all your flappin, i don't even think you know where i stand. you probably think i think bush is a great guy - even though there isn't a chance in hell that he's getting my vote." DJR: I care less where you stand--I'm only interested in learning if you know how to advance economic progress!!!! That would be important! |

It is the only way we can have real economi8c progress! But you don't have a thought on the concept; so you'll go back to more rhetoric!!! RIGHT?

Bringing the total droque threads count to 7.[/b][/quote] So lets hear you say something of substance! The questions has everything to do with economic progress: How would you achieve effective demand and sustained growth? Don't have the slightest idea--RIGHT? Too bad, I was hoping to learn something!

| Igneous Magma Posts: 650 | Through my 50+ years I have heard politicos claiming credit for everything good that happens during their administrations and blaming everything bad on the house/and or senate which has been controlled by the opposite party. Or by pointing out what a horrific situation they inherited. Through that time I have often wondered what a party would do if they ever got the majority in both houses, the executive branch, and got to start with a decent situation. They could surely claim credit but how would they be able to shuffle off the blame for the bad stuff.... WELLLLLL HHHHHEEEEEEER TIS FOLKS.... We have a party that 1. Holds the executive branch. 2. Holds the majority in the house and senate. 3. Inherited a surplus after years of deficit. 4. Has rebuilt the deficit to the largest in history. I have always believed that THAT much obvious screwing up would finally force an admission. BUT NOOOOOOO. There are people out there so blindly loyal that they are still finding ways to say this administration handeled the economy well. And these are the same people who are screaming for accountability in schools? (or anywhere else for that matter) Give me the strength to respect my fellow countrymen's lunacy. Protester against the culture war!!!! |
