Don't they have any training from the FBI on what and who to look for? We now have ID cameras that can do that but are they being put into use, as we do at airports? As I recall the guy who shot Reagan was on the roof or a roof very close to where Regan came out to get into his limo. No one was smart enough to put a Secret Agent sniper on the roof to watch for a shooter who might take advantage of so a likely position? That is just plain old "lax" security. When Bush Jr was running for President they had super-security, you could not even get into a rally to hold up a protest sign as everyone was monitored at the door. They did not even allow anyone who was a regestered Democrat to get in the doors let alone known radicals. ( other then members of the Bin Laden familty who they were in business with, of course ).

Looks like your photos are worth a thousand words. I did not pay much attention back then to that event and recall mostly Reagan saying "I should have ducked" in the hospital. I thought the report mentioned something about one bullet passing through Reagan from the top to the bottom, I guess that was someone else. So many people getting shot at back in the old days. I recall thinking it was odd because it is mostly the Democrats who get shot down and not the Republicans. It was also odd that the brother of Hinkley had an appointment to dine with a member of the Bush family the next day. Bush Sr was Vice President at the time and would have become President if Reagan had died. The Hinkley family owns a major oil company and had donated large sums of money to the Bush/Reagan election efforts. The suspect had a pre-established plea that he was insane from watching a TV show called "Taxie". A unconfirmed theory cirulated that the oil people who are behind the Republican party wanted Bush Sr as their President but he did not have the right personality, so they put Reagan in as the strawman "front guy" and then bump him off so that Bush could run the government "their way". The plot failed according to the unconfirmed conspiracy theory. Reagan assassination attempt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Reagan Assassination Attempt ~ Neil Bush and John Hinkley's Brother Scott ~ News Coverage That is strange - talk about "it's a small world". This is simular by the way with the link Bush had with the Bin Laden family concerning middle eastern constuction operations. With Bush Sr and another famous Republican attending meetings (even during the 9-11 attack ) about business deals related to the Bush oil interests. Bin Laden family - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's even a smaller world. How strange all this is. Each family had a nut who do something radical. Hmm? Makes one wonder what the heck is really going on.

| It's simply logical Location: San Diego Posts: 4,564 | . The reason I was pretty sure the shooter was ground level was a part of that drama that will stick with me forever, the image of that Secret Service agent in the light blue suit, Tim McCarthy, who stepped forward to take the bullet. I always figured that he saw the shooter and was looking straight at him for that split second as he stepped forward to place himself in front of Reagan. I was actually looking for that image when I found far better ones. . I don't suffer from insanity... I thoroughly enjoy it |

I don't recall such admonitions following Michelle Obama's "Barak could get shot going to the gas station" remarks. Another false accusation counting on foolish hypersensitivity to carry the day. What more should one expect from the candidate of “you can’t talk about that”?
