For all of you who, as usual, don't know what the hell you're talking about, the Libertarian Party hasn't nominated its presidential candidate yet (it will at the convention at the end of May).

Here's the link that shows ALL of the current candidates (listed in order of money raised): Official Website of the Libertarian National Committee

Oh, and by the way lsbskins1, Rush supporters are voting for Hillary.
In the primaries, not the general.

Eh, there really no such thing as a "vote stealer". That's just a lame, albeit convenient cop out for people who can't get their own morally bankrupt candidates elected.
Nader took liberal votes from Gore in FL. No Nader, then no FL controversy, No Giant Bush and a lesser evil of Gore!

Well, now I'm only advocating Ron Paul.

I wasn't privvy to the fact that the Libertarian candidate would be wearing a Republican label, while the Republican candidate would be wearing a Libertarian pin.

Who knew?

There is no wiggling here. I'm not scared to disown those who think outside of reality. No guilt by association either.

Ron Paul 08
Not sure why. He is not running! Not on the Republican or Libertarian ticket!

I think I might vote for Barr!

I don't like his stances on social issues, medical marijuana or the war on drugs. However, I like his fiscal and immigration conservatism. That is what is most important.

(1) He is a fair tax fan. Which, if you haven't seen my avatar, I am a huge supporter of. It is just the plan we need to tip the trade war back our way.

(2) He is for repealing the 16th amendment, when he implements the fair tax. Good move also.

(3) He is for reducing taxes and spending substantially

(4) He wants to be tough on illegal immigration, protect the border, sancutary cities and employers that hire illegals.

(5) Because I like him better than McCain and Obama.

Immigration is not a social issue? I'll never understand some of you on this one. You are against making a substance illegal, but calling an actual human being "illegal" is justified?

Not a thread in illegal immigration. We have many for that issue.

But Can Barr count on you for your vote?

You brought it up. What are we supposed to talk about then?

The candidate and what you like or not like about him. Rather than arguing the issues he supports or doesn't support.

In other words, ignore the issues?

No, Nader didn't take votes from anyone. Gore was not entitled to those votes. When the hell are you Democrats and Republicans going to realize that you are not entitled to anyone's votes? PAY ATTENTION: THEY'RE NOT YOUR DAMNED VOTES! They aren't being taken away from you when someone votes for Nader or Ross Perot or one of the numerous other national parties - they're not your damned votes!

Yes, in the primaries. They're trying to manipulate the election process because they think Hillary would be easier for McCain to beat than Obama would.

And the right to be a limp-wristed, "let's all just get along" fairy or the right to be a rabid environmentalist or whatever the hell else you want to be - until it starts to threaten our liberties.

Was that a stab at justifying the "vote stealer" contention?

Better than the alternative.

Liberalism, preventing people from disagreeing.

Fine, so he lured them away.

Yes, in the primaries. It's because they want her to be the person against whom McCain is running in the general election.

No, because they were never Gore's votes. He wasn't entitled to any of them. That he received any votes at all was solely out of the kindness of voters' hearts.

You know, I have never contemplated the concept that the entitlement mentality applied to votes, and voting.

As I think you are correct in your assessment, I must praise you for your astute observation.

What a truly disturbing realization.
