No, there's not. Funding is the reason we can have war, at least in our state-capitalist system. Yank away funding and the war would have precious little choice but to dissipate.

If he is not a Republican then let him agree with us to bring the troops home within a years time. Let him agree to that deadline. Let him agree to creating new jobs with alternative energy instead of downsizing the levels of polution allowed. Let him promote an affordable health care system. Just because he's a RINO doesn't mean he's a Democrat - not that Democrats have done anything to create new jobs with alternative energy or done any of these other things.

True, but life doesn't always conform to a strict reading of some arcane legal document.

And I hesitate to say these are "socialist programs." It's true the two parties
love government handouts, but they mostly prefer them to go to the rich (or the practically mythical "middle class").
