They banned alchohol using constituional methods.... all methods of prohibition since have not been done this way, since they WITNESSED its failure when the people don't support their illogical, central government, all powerful motives. I'm missing the argument. Do you mean that prohibition's lack of success lead to a smaller chance of constitutional amendments? I think there is enough support for popular direct elections that there could be a constitutional amendment (whether people care enough is another story). Don't forget this is all in good fun! In the absence of God, Human Rights is a concept without meaning. As far as I'm concerned, there is no greater threat to his nation than the sancitified 'independent, moderate, centrist, secular progressive and sport, just reading what you've posted here that is precisely where I'd slot you. But give me a chance to prove it... Is there any chance that you're able to cite, say... one example, where religion is a threat to you? Yes. Foreign policy. Many Christians seem content that our government is waging an unjust Culture War against Islam. That is a very big, very real problem, and the people instructed to forgive, and forget act 180% out of sinc with their professed views.

Many religious people attribute peace to God, yet history tells a different story (including recent history and current events). Grandpa h. If humans could bust the death-grip that the hucksters (religions) have placed.. like an albatross (or 2-ton anvil) around the human race's neck, why.. then humans could intelligently and logically solve the problems at hand.. as in: starvation, over population, illiteracy.. WARS.. However.. since the hucksters (con-artists) get the kids from infancy.. and inculcate them into the "system" --- Well.. realistically.. we have no chance. Wars will continue.. and all the rest![]()

Century 25 is basically right. They ( the religious ) claim that deism is some sort of mysterious religion that supports they're view of Western law being tied to the Ten Commandments, and therefore Christianinty. When deism is really more acurately described as the broken phychological remnants of former Christains who have renounced Christanity, but not made the leap to all out atheism.
