I think the next President along with advice from Congress whould put together a new list of nations, countries, and groups that we find objectionable, or that are in fact terrorising the USA. We should not carry over the Bush list or his axes of evil "black list". The next President should send out people to talk to all those leaders and heads of governments in a serious way, and let's see who all we can cross off the outdated list that Bush is now using as our enemy list. That list should be composed of only those that are a direct threat to the USA and not those who are only threats to Israel or some other country. What'cha think about that? |

Though, a friend observed something that might be interesting. It seems that there is often a terrorist attack when a new leader goes into office. Though i'd have to look more into it, it might be something to consider. Yet this is off topic, maybe i'll make a thread for it. Knowledge is power, use it well. Don't fear the unknown, seek to understand it |

Plus, what the hell's the point of anouncing our enemies to people who already know they're our enemies. “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |

Well, some of us might add "Bushism" to that list? | |

Take Chavez, he says these things because he wants his people to hate America, so that they will be against America, so that he may join in with other critics of the States to do something bad to America. He is probably hoping the rest of South America will hear these things and say bad things too, and then there could be a case where they place some sort of sanctions on America, like not trading with them or something, or even worse, go to war with them. But you need to look at who stands to gain by America doing badly, and add them to a list of possible countries that might do things to America to make things go bad, for whatever reason you can think of. Anyone that stands to gain with the fall of the states is a possible adversary, especially those in dire straits - It is not like a european country will stand to gain much, in fact they might lose with terror attacks on America, so you need to be logical too. Just what does Al Queda stand to gain by bombing America? It is a case of them wanting to harm the U.S. by harming the people. What will happen to the region if America was destroyed? Well they would have less intake on oil, and there would be less goods for sale, so the reason must be political. So what does Bin Laden have to gain by attacking the states? He has already harmed the economy a bit, for a short while, all by himself. The reason must be that he hates America, but why? WHat did America do to him? Is it the hatred that was instilled into him by others that makes him want to see their downfall? He can't hate what they do for the world, so he must hate their success, and wants to see thier success in the region. So what goes into this hatred of America? The people there are against America becaue they are the world power, and the major authority of the world, so they are rebelling against the way of things. They hear news from there about how good life is, and they look around and see how bad life is for the average man on the streets there, and then they hate America because there life is good, does that make sense? Does that warrant bombs exploding there? I think someone has identified the U.S. as the culprit for the state of the world, so that is why they want America to change they way things are over there. They could give them money, or reduce prices, but what can America really do to make them happy? What are his demands? Bin Laden loves his people, because he fights for them, it is not personal demands he seeks, he finances some of his activities himself. It is clear he wants favouritism towards the region and is going to attack until he gets it. He is probably infiltrating all areas of the west and will strike at a time nobody suspects, so that they are reduced and need to spend money or lose money to the region. So what drives Bin laden? He probably sees himself as God's answer to the suffering in the region, and has become used to seeing suffering for that cause. When you say to yourself that you have a lot of money and need to remedy the problem so that your neighbours can thrive, a feeling of self importance comes about. So Bin Laden probably has an air of him being the parent of the region, and tries to comfort himslef by doing things he sees are God's will, where he seeks recompensation in heaven, or for the people, which fosters his need to provide. It is a wonderful feeling being the provider, and I think that is the way Bin Laden thinks - that he is the provider for the region and that feeling drives him to do such terrible things, to give back to his people for the feeling of self importance. What else could drive him on? He needs to feel good doing what he does, so this good feeling is responsible for him continuing. I can't see him thinking he is doing the wrong thing, if he thought that he would feel very stupid for his lifestyle suggests that he lives in a very dangerous way, and recieves no compensation besides the feelings he gets from 'seing to' his people, so he genuinely enjoys what he does, up until the point of killing people. Does he think all Americans are evil? I am sure that a man of his knowledge does not think that, and refers to Americans as necessary casualties in this war of his. I think he has said to himslef that seeing as how it is America that has, and he wants for his people, it is their fault for not giving it to them, and therefore people will die. Poison for the system! |
