| Yellowstone is home Location: Greater Yellowstone Region Posts: 109 | The Eagle Screams Today. The federal government is sending each and every American who payed taxes this year a $600 "Economic Stimulus Package". If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline, it will go to the Middle East. If we purchase a computer, it will go to Malaysia or India. If we purchase fruits and vegetables, the money will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car, it will go to Japan, Korea, or Germany. If we purchase useless crap, it will go to Taiwan, Vietnam, or Kuala Lumpur. None of this money will actually stimulate the American economy. The only way to keep that money here, at home, is to spend the money here at home on strippers and American beer, since these are the only products still produced in the US. Thank you for your cooperation. Just for fun, but seriously does anyone think it will improve our economy notably? |

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | They will not send me dime because I still owe $4000.00 in back taxes that are listed as uncollectable. They will just deduct it form what I owe them. This so call refund package is not about saving us from higher gas prices or a economical slump, it is about buy votes for McCain by making people think that the Republicans can afford to give back money in taxes. But they are just giving us money they got from China. |

It's meant to distract us from noticing what a disaster the economy is in. And if what I heard on NPR the other day is accurate, this "refund" won't be taxed next year. Go on pretending that voting Hillary, Obama, or McCain will make things better. Take a little bit more of that same medicine, and see if it helps. ![]() Just how thick headed can people be? I know I'm revising my estimate nearly every day now, thanks to these people. |
