Tell me, GHook, how would you react if I said 'All Jewish Americans have a bias towards X'? Would I be being Anti-Semetic? Or racist? Or what? You decide...

Report accuses BBC of supporting Iran
British-Israeli attorney claims broadcasting network's Arabic-language radio station aired commentary biased against Israel during Second Lebanon War
Meirav Crystal Published: 03.25.08, 19:09 / Israel Culture

A lawyer who has been managing a campaign against the British Broadcasting Corporation's news coverage of Israel for several years now has claimed that the BBC allowed its Arabic-language station to air a biased commentary in favor of Iran and Hizbullah during the Second Lebanon War.

After his 2004 report "What Went Wrong at the BBC: A Public Monopoly Abusing its Charter through Bias against Israel," Attorney Trevor Asserson, A British-Israeli citizen recently issued a new report arguing that the Arabic-language BBC radio's coverage of the 2006 war was biased against Israel and even supported Iran...

...The station's commentators, the report said, did not even try to hide their clear sympathy for the Lebanese side and Hizbullah fighters.

The BBC is a British public broadcasting authority, and its Arabic-language radio station has been on the air for many years now. It enjoys high ratings and is perceived as a reliable station.

...'Support for enemies intolerable'
The report went on to say that the BBC's policy towards Israel was a known reality, but that the fact that British soldiers were fighting on the front line while a station financed by their parents' money broadcast words of support for their enemies was intolerable...

...Asserson claimed in the past that BBC reports on Israel were distorted and unfair, biased in favor of the Palestinians (for example, in refusing to use the words "terror" or "terrorist" which constitute a violation of the network's guidelines) and spreading antipathy. He also demanded that the British government refuse to renew the channel's public broadcasting license.

B]BBC admits: We are biased on religion and politics[/b]
Internal corporation memo on ‘impartiality’ summit leaked to British media exposes truth on BBC bias

Hagit Klaiman Published: 10.23.06, 16:10 / Israel News
LONDON – The British Broadcasting Corporation has been struggling for several years against criticisms and claims of biased reporting concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and distorted coverage of the global fight against terror...

An internal memo, recently discovered by the British media, revealed what the BBC has been trying to hide. Senior figures admitted in a recent 'impartiality' summit that the BBC was guilty of promoting Left-wing views and anti-Christian sentiment.

Most executives admitted that the corporation’s representation of homosexuals and ethnic minorities was unbalanced and disproportionate, and that it leaned too strongly towards political correctness, the overt promotion of multiculturalism, anti-Americanism and discrimination against the countryside.

Okay to trash Bible, not Quran
A truly shocking revelation to come out of the summit was expected to invoke a storm in Britain, which has already reached the boiling point with regards to the treatment of Muslims and the issue of the veil.

For the purpose of illustration, the executives were given a scenario in which Jewish Comedian Sasha Baron Cohen would participate in a program titled ‘Room 101’, a studio program where guests would be asked for their opinions on different issues, and allowed to symbolically throw things they hated in a garbage bin.

The executives were asked what they would do if Cohen decided to throw ‘Kosher food’, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Bible, and the Quran in the garbage bin.

The executives said they would allow everything to be thrown in the garbage bin, save the Quran, for fear of offending the British Muslim community.

According to the ‘Washington Times’, the BBC also reportedly revealed that its executives favored interviewing terrorist leader Osama bin Laden if the opportunity arose.

One senior BBC executive admitted to the ‘Daily Express’, "There was a widespread acknowledgement that we may have gone too far in the direction of political correctness. Unfortunately, much of it is so deeply embedded in the BBC's culture, that it is very hard to change it."

It gives you all the proof of the anti-semites at the BBC!

Depends what the X was? If the X was children's blood in their matzoh (don't laugh that what was said on a flier that was passed around in Russia), then I would say yes you were being antisemitic.

This is not about that site. Its about the BBC and its agenda against all of Israel not just the Zionist. Regardless of the where it came from the BBC even acknowledged it! The proof is in the pudding. The BBC has an anti-semitic bias!
Try to understand a simple fact that characterizes Homo Sapiens :
- Nobody is obligated to like others
Neither BBC nor any other source needs to glorify and/or condamn anything.
BBC may not like Israel. Does BBC need to like Israel ?
Do you like everybody and/or everything ?

People don't have to like people, but the journalism oath is to impartiality. The BBC has broken that oath. The reason for the oath is because of the power the media has. It is an abuse power to have overtly biased coverage! Again this is something Bullsh1tBC is guilty of!

Again with the histronics, GHook...if you sounded less hysterical, it might actually sound reasonable. As it is, it's not coming off particularly unbiased yourself...

There is no doubt that BBC is biased they even admit it themselves

BBC admits inaccuracies in coverage
news item on March 7, following the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva attack, the BBC showed a bulldozer demolishing a house, while correspondent Nick Miles told viewers: "Hours after the attack, Israeli bulldozers destroyed his family home. Later, mourners set up Hamas and Islamic Jihad banners nearby."

The house, however, was not demolished; the BBC was embarrassed when news reports from other broadcasters showed the east Jerusalem home intact and the family commemorating their son's actions.

Last week, the BBC apologized live on its news program, admitting it had used footage of another house being demolished
BBC admits inaccuracies in coverage | Jerusalem Post
And it's not the first time they do it its really part of the pattern.

I've read some baillix from GHook in my time, but this truely takes the biscuit. If he actually bothered to read or watch BBC news output he would see they give a rather balanced view on things, much more so than other organisations such as say NewsCorp or Ynetnews. The BBC has mades mistakes before, in many theatres, such as it's reporting from the Gaza strip after the Sept 11th attacks where they used old media footage to show Islamic fundies jumping about celebrating the attacks. The footage used was at least 2 yrs old. Now don't get me wrong, I know of several fundies who had a field day after those attacks.....but??
His blatant right-wing anti-Europe attitude gets a little tiresome, hence I need breaks from this place.

PLEASE! The BBC is so biased it hurts. I love how the Brits flock to support the BBC as unbiased, but every other news source in the world is Biased. Typical.
