As a non-religious person I don't really care. We need some excuse to have holidays and like someone stated, they are largely secular today anyhow.

Look out kid, they keep it all hid.

Neither Christmas nor Easter have anything to do with religion these days, they are both entirely secular holidays.
Maybe for you. Enjoy your yet another day, then.

For everyone rational and certainly for the government. They roll Easter eggs on the White House lawn, they don't recreate the crucifiction, although it might be interesting to see Bush get nailed up like they do in the Philippines. :)

Jesus loves me? No thanks, I don't swing that way.

Easter Eggs is a symbolic act, and it aims at all the People.
Otherwise, the People start asking question on the U.S. Constitution and Law ideological and philosophical fundaments, credibility, etc. I do not think any U.S. President would like to conquer the People.

There's nothing symbolic about it if you're referring to Christianity. There's nothing in Christianity whatsoever that has anything to do with colored eggs. That's a throwback to the earlier pagan origins of the holiday. Now, however, it really has nothing to do with any religion, it's just something fun to do on an otherwise ordinary Sunday once a year.

You can say that with Bush in office?
