March 4 primary!

Does a victory on March 4th make Clinton the favorite?
RealClearPolitics - 2008 Elections - Democratic Delegate Count

All the states are pretty much up for grabs except VT (which Obama has a 24 point lead); however, VT is by far the smallest delegate state and has the most independents so the polls could be way off, just like NH.

TX is a tie, but I am predicting a Clinton win. I think the Latino will vote for her and I think the Republicans will vote for her to keep Obama out of the generals.
OH Clinton has 8 pt lead. I also predict a win for her here.
RI - Clinton has a 10 pt lead. They usually vote like NY and NJ, so expect a Clinton win.
VT - Obama has a 24 pt lead. The poll can be off, but they are unlikely off that much.

Note on the Republican side, McCain should official wrap it up. He has 1019 delegate (102 not "officially" pledged yet though), the polls show he has at least a 20 pt lead in all 4 states, im which 265 delegates are for grabs and McCain only needs 172 more delegates!

I do not think I would cast my vote on any candidate - regardless of party's shade - ever, unless some extraoridinary events take place around.
However, Obama offers much better solutions to U.S. than any of all those guys combined together.
Except for Obama, the rest of those guys offer nothing but upkeeping the same status quo seen within U.S. political arena for decades. They offer a defferent cover and/or wrapping paper, while the package stays the same. A sort of "glitter", in other words.
The key element for U.S. economy is not anything but : oil. The switch to bio-fuel is a Must (!) Otherwise, U.S. is facing a crisis for years to come, that is going to influence all the economical sectors.
Therefore, all those lobbyists groups Need to go, otherwise there is no switch available and/or possible since those guys (read : lobby) would do everything to prevent a switch from oil to bio-fuel, since they make huge profits on all those transactions. (It does not concern the oil only.)
None of all those candidates want to get rid of lobbyists, except for Obama.

IF I were to vote : Obama.

Not voting is basically my position as well.

And yes, Obama sounds better than what I would expect Clinton to do -- but that's not saying much.

Clinton will remain the underdog after March 4. Obama has a three digit lead in pledged delegates and is closing the super delegate gap. Clinton must win today by double digit margins (and win the parallel Texas caucus where 35% of that state's delegates are chosen) to seriously dent Obama's advantage.

However, if she can convert wins today into momentum she may win some of the remaining contests by big enough margins to gain more delegates. But Hillary will need help from superdelegates currently leaning to Obama. And she'll need the Florida and Michigan delegates to be seated, which party leaders refuse to do. They may--MAY--authorize re-votes, however. That's Hillary's only hope.

It's still Obama's nomination to lose.

Your predictions look about right. The wild cards in Texas and Ohio will be the big absentee votes sent in weeks ago when Obama was stronger. But those probably won't affect the final result, Hillary takes three primaries to Obama's one. Obama, however, benefits from proportional delegate counts.

It's definately getting more interesting.

No contest, no surprise. Huckabee and Paul pose no threat to McCain.

Obama aired a two-minute commercial in Ohio and Texas, which indicates he must have substantial financial backing.

I had heard that Rush Limbaugh has been encouraging republicans in Texas to go out and vote for Hillary Clinton in the Texas primary just to cause chaos in the democratic party.

My suspicions were aroused. I strongly doubted that anyone claiming to be a great supporter of the 'American Way' and ideals would be so hypocritical as to openly encourage people to go out and deliberately disrupt the system.

I admit I have never been much of a Limbaugh fan. I don't like lefties or righties who's career is making excuses for one side and blaming the other for everything. Still I always thought Rush was at least trying to present himself as one of the"good guys". And was definitely a patriot.

So today (March 4th) I tuned into his show, since I do not automatically swallow all the crap I hear about him or anyone else from media sources.

SHOCK. It was not only true but he was bragging about it! He said he was "...not subverting democracy, only making them mad, which was another goal we achieved."

He went on to pretty much claim credit for Clinton winning Texas.
(Pretty arrogant even if it could be true).

To me it is not a matter of whether he caused Clinton to take Texas or not. What matters is that he is proud of dirty politics. So much for the good guy patriot image.

Did he have a right to do it? Yes. Freedom of speech and all that. There are lots of things we have the right to do that we should still be ashamed of.

What really made me shudder about this, and caused me to write this post, is that there are actually people out there who will respond to it defending him.

Not defending his right to do it. That is a given. But defend his honor and actions that are obviously underhanded and decidedly NOT in support of the American system.

Why?

Because he is Rush Limbaugh. My Rush right or wrong?

Because he did it to the democrats and anything done to them is justified?

Because all is fair in politics? Does that justify anything? (If ALL is fair in politics I suppose you also have to support ballot stuffing and political assassinations as fair) Or is it just that anything Rush does in politics is fair.

I remember my daughter asking me (when she was studying about the Third Reich) how a whole country could be evil?. I remember telling her that good people can get so blind in supporting something or someone that they start too justify and forgive anything for that person or cause. That they begin to justify things they would react in horror to if some other person or group did those same things.

To me the fact that this man still has enough blindly stupid followers that he can support a sponsored program reflects this point perfectly.

Regarding the actual outcome (I am an undecided voter at this time) I would just like to see this election play out without self-righteous players of any stripe trying to manipulate a system I am still sappy, and patriotic enough, to believe in.

As are mine now. It almost makes me think Hillary may have bribed these people. Ann Coulter's saying pretty much the same thing. In any case, it reveals how the Democratic party isn't absolutely out of line with the Rush Limbaugh's of the world. Still, some address the Democratic Party as one that has been "continuing to move to the left," or some such words.
