So the media is concentrating on the ones seeking to replace him, and them. |

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | The final day for voting for the next President is a long ways off, not on Tuesday.... so the words "about to win" are a bit pre-mature. In spite of the fact that McCain is not to be under-estimated he is after all almost a copy of Bush, and the momentum of a change (from Bush) is a stong motivation for people's interest in the upcoming elecitons. Irag is a factor and Americans have mixed feelings about that problem, yet it seems most of us want to end that occupation. Obama goofed and said he would put out the troops but if the terrorists stayed and had too much power he would send troops back to Iraq to fight them. That does not sound like "closing the books" on Iraq which many voters have expressed interest in doing. So you are right, if Obama is going to start with that "double talk" then he would loose support and that support would go to McCain. Obama must stick to his guns, ether we are "coming home for good, or not". Hillary has yet to have any newsworthy exchanges of words with McCain , apparently McCain thinks he has a better chance of winning over Obama then over Clinton. But other issues are really on the minds of voters. Mainly that the cost of living is killing us (our home budgets) and we want that changed, the cost of gasoline, the cost of prescriptions, and even food, is skyrocketing and a majority of people cannot keep up pace with that. Plus many have lost jobs because downsizing and so forth. Presenting a workable way to improve the nations economical sistuation is paramount to winning, in my opinon. |

If the probe gathers some newsworthy results then no doubt we will hear about it, as of right now it is at kind of a stand still while the wheels of justice are turning, and as the White House attempts to make them back off for some legal reason. |

Pelosi asked AG Mukasey to investigate Harriet Miers and Josh Bolton for contempt, and Mukasey told her to f**k off, basically. The next step is for the Judiciary Committee to file a lawsuit in federal district court. CNN "None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free." -- Johann Von Goethe |
