The primaries are over and they never really started for RP. My guess is that he takes the money and applies it to his Congressional reelection. Is that stealing? No. I doubt his donorers would be upset if he used it to be reelected to the house. I am sure his donorers had to know he was a long-shot from the beginning.

Apparently Paul will probably be reelected to Congress comfortably in the Texas 14th, but will lose the presidential primary election in his district to John McCain by over 30 points:

his seat was never in real danger. It is dangerous for him to go too much further out on a political limb at this time.
